Summer Job/Temp?

I wanted to know if anyone's company hires temps for the summer for admin type of work, data entry or teaching.

I was a legal secy for 5+ years & an admin asst. for 4 years & an exec. asst. as well.

I've been teaching the last 3 years.

Any help would be appreciated.

I used to work at Bear Stearns, but last summer it was slow and I only worked a week or two (& went crazy the rest of the summer!)

waitressing or do some summer tutoring. i think there are parents who want their children to have some learning done while school is out.

Yes, I'm sure it can be. I just sometimes like to take a break from the kids during the summer. Nice change of pace being back in an office, dressed-up, around adults, making 20+ an hour.

Try temping in the city, I know a few really good agencies. I am sure lots of employees will be on vacation and therefore, the co.'s will need temps!

MRS TC, I'd gladly accept agency names for temping.

I went to a couple & was treated like I was right out of HS. I can type 80 wpm, worked for CFO's & CEO's & worked as a legal secretary in litigation for ABC, I don't like being talked down to by a 19 year old girl who didn't even go to college. Sorry for the hostility, its just what I experienced at a couple of places that turned me off.

I was working for the temp agency inside Bear Stearns & they were great, but my contact left and I was passed along to someone else & ended up not working for most of the summer last year.

Any help would be appreciated!
