Question for those having ceremony and reception in the same place

Both my ceremony and reception are in the same place. FI and I want to have pictures done before the ceremony somewhere else - like the Planting Fields Arboretum. But I was planning on getting ready at the temple where I'm getting married. Is it silly to get ready there, then go to the Planting Fields to take pictures, then return to the temple for more pictures and the ceremony?

I think that you should do what you want - I am having my ceremony and reception at the same place ...But I am going to sleep at my mothers the night before and I don't want anyone to see me so were not doing that with the pictures but as long as you and your FH are cool with it then do it

We are having it at the same place, but we aren't going anywhere extra to take pics.

The night before we are staying at a hotel, and the hotel has a really pretty fire place. Thats where we will probably take some pics.

That's the one thing I don't want is for FH to see me before the ceremony. My only traditional thing I'm sticking too lol We are getting married at the BCE so we'll take our pics there after the ceremony and during the cocktail hour.

We are also haveing the reception and the ceremony at the same place. I am going to get ready at my mothers house with the BM. FH and the boys are going to meet there for the limo to take us to get pics done and then to the hall....But as everyone has said you should feel free to do what you think is right for you! Hope that I have helped in someway!!!

as long as your transportation doesn't mind....get ready at the temple, go take pictures, come back for wedding.....shouldn't be a problem!

We have decided to take our pictures before the ceremony. We are allowed to be there two hours before the ceremony, so we decided to just take the pictures that way we have more time with our guests and so we dont miss our ch.

I dont think its silly at all. We are doing pics before the wedding as well because I am not paying all that money for a photographer and not being able to get quality shots. We want to spend as much time with our guests as possible so we will be joining them during the CH instead of taking pics then. Also, we are having our ceremony at 7 pm so I want to use all the time I have during the day to get daytime pics
