HELP! Casey just ate 7 chocolate chip cookies!
I baked cookies and left them on the counter to cool.....I went upstairs for a minute and of course my DH was not watching her  and she ate all of them! I know chocolate is poisonous - I'm so worried now!

dont worry, shell be ok.
i learned that it has to be ALOT of chocolate to do them harm. (unless your dog is VERY susseptable to it)
we've had too many accidents here. once they opened up a box that had a smaller box of godiva in it. and then one night i was really drunk and left out like 5 chocolate bars on the table (drunken munchies!)
on both occasions they just threw up and were fine.
my mom feeds her big lab Oreo cookies if he begs. He is fine with chocolate.
Dont worry.. just watch her. She will probably have a belly ache though

I'd call the vet, each animals system is different. It's better safe than sorry.

The rule of thumb is one ounce of chocolate per one pound of dog is when it starts to get dangerous. Call your vet to make sure...

My dog just ate a half box of cholocates that FI brought home for Valentines. They poor guy was throwing up from 10:00am till like 5:30!!!!

I know this is a post from the other day but I just had to respond because I was talking to my dad the other day and my Casey (my 12+ year old dalmatian) lives with him! He said that my cousin had made him a batch of home made cc cookies. He at like 2 and then left the bag open on the end table! Well Casey ate the whole bag! THere must have been at least another 10+ cookies! She was fine, but she is the same dog that ate a pointsetta plant as a pup so I am not sure that actually says much!!!
