Official "What you got for Valentine's Day" thread...
Dh got me this huge arrangement of exotic flowers and cooked me lobster tails, pasta, and shrimp cocktail...
He did good!!!!!!!!

it was reall real small. we each told each other nothing big since all the money is going to the wedding and fh is out of work. he got me a gift certifcate to my nail place and i got him a heart pic frame with my picture. this might sound cheesy but the greatest gift he gives me is priceless...i have his love every day

We weren't buying gifts this year since we are saving our money but we went out for a special dinner last night
AND HE surprised me with a WONDERFUL home cooked dinner, my fav wine and 2 dozen roses 
and i thought i was being really thoughtful by getting him 2 slices of his favorite oreo cookie cake

I ot some beautiful red roses, some godiva chocolate, and an email to work this morning when he got up that said Happy valentines Day I love you soooooooooo much!
It totally brightened my day!
we went out to a nice dinner tonight too

But since he is at work tonight, he came to school to surprise me and took me out to lunch/breakfast.

We decided not to spend any money this year with the wedding in a few months, but JT made me this book that documents our whole history together. He brought it to me at work and I was crying my eyes out because of it (which is SO NOT ME), and everyone thought he broke up with me Geez, the way rumors start! It was the nicest thing he's ever done for me!

We kept it simple and unromantic, I got him Married with Children Season 3 and scratch offs and he got me a camera case and a battery charger for the camera.

We told eachother we wouldn't spend too much money, but he ended up getting me a Vermont teddybear. I've always wanted one and I was quite surprised. It's adorable and it came holding a bouquet of flowers (fake ones) and a box of chocolates. I was very happy
ETA: a pic. It was a very fitting present because I call him my Joeybear.

I love my DH, but I am a little disappointed. I made him phyllo dough wrapped gouda with apples and almonds, field greens with a honey mustard vinagerette, penne with a wild mushroom sauce and chocolate covered strawberries all served with Pink champange and our favorite red wine. I got him 2 "For my Husband" v-day cards and cleaned the apartment (which he was suppose to do while I was at work yesterday). I got flowers from the store in the subway. Not even a card for our first v-day as husband and wife. I feel bad for complaining, but he never puts any thought into these things and it is starting to upset me. All I wanted was a card.

 , I'm sorry. My father has never been the romantic type. He's NEVER gotten my mother a Valentine's gift EVER, except for this year. I happened to be at the house (Because DH was working) when he came home and he brought her a flower, a sweet card, and a new mouse and mousepad for her computer. That's completely unlike my father. My mother was like: "what, are you trying to KILL me?"

.... but we're giving ourselves to each other for the rest of our lives on Saturday, so i guess that counts too

This! and purple and yellow tulips. I bought him a poker tabletop, 2 shirts, and a bagful of non-chocolate candy (he gave up chocolate for lent. )
.....AND we had dinner at my parents' - it was my mother's request that we join them for a ginormous lasagna, and neither of us minded because her lasagna is just so d@mn good!

He cooked us a wonderful dinner Sat night - shrimp cocktail, lobster tails, filet mignon - got me a gift cert to a high-end spa near me and had a dozen roses delivered to my new job today!! He's so good to me! I would trade it all in though to have him home with me tonight instead of working overnight!
