Ideas on a song I can dance with....
my step-dad to? I am going to do the traditional father/daughter dance with my dad, but I am fairly close with my step-dad and wanted to have a special song to dance with him to. Any ideas? Nothing too father/daughter-y, he and my mom have only been married for 2 yrs. Also, how can I do it w/o "offending" my still-resentful father?

My life- By the Beatles- it describes the people in your life that you will remember- not a typical father/daughter dance.
It was the theme song for that show Providence if that helps to know what it is...

There's also James Taylor - You've got a friend - my dad and sister danced to that at her wedding and it was great.

Good call! I am dancing with my dad to that song!!!!! I actuallt wanted to do "Michelle" by the Beatles-he used to sing that to me when i was little, but i think it'll make me cry!!!

I've been wondering the same thing. My mom has been with my stepfather since I was 3, so I am close with him as well as my biological dad. These are good ideas.
