Survey! How long did it take for your album to be completed. . .

after you picked out the pictures & layout with the photographer.

and why do these meetings take 2 hours?

got married in april
got our proofs about 2 weeks later i think
we met with our photographer in late august to set up the album and pick out pictures.
he met with us once more in october i think to show us the actual pictures that would be going into the album and we again went over the layout.
we had our album a few days before thanksgiving.

Our Meeting was 3 hours.

After that meeting they told us it would be 6-8 months to get.

Our meeting was only about 30 minutes and the album will take 3 months.

We are meeting with our photographer next month for the design session. They told us right now the albums are running about 8 months to make.

I did two meetings .. the first was almost three hours, the second was about an hour & a half.

I got the album 12 weeks and a day after the second meeting. But actually there was a delay because she pulled my pictures back to use for the News12 piece, so had she not, it may have been less.

In any case it was pretty much exactly how long they estimated it would be.

We dropped our photos off for our album in December and she said it would be ready in 4 months.

I got my proofs back about a month after our July wedding

I finally got around for our album design session in late December, which took just about an hour and 1/2 (both our album, parents, enlargements AND video actually)

They emailed me the layout design about 2 weeks after our appointment, and upon my approval they said it would be 'going to press'

I was told the album would be ready anywhere from 2-4 months, so I'm still waiting

We had already picked out what photos we wanted in our album so our meeting was not long at all.

We picked everything out and got our enlargements right before Christmas, then picked up our albums in May, so about 5 months.

wow- it really varies. I think my photograhher says 6-9 months! That is too long. I 'll see what they tell me when I go in for my appt.

Also, I know what I want, I can't see why it would take more than an hour.

We knew what we wanted too. Until dumb lady talked us into 16 extra pictures and then charged us a crazy price to put more then 1 picture on a page. We walked with a bill of 826.00 bill.

we got married 11/28/03 - just got our album and parents album 2 days ago. we focused on the house first - plus haven't event started editiing the video!!! maybe after the nonexisting kids are off to college!!!

I went for my appt. with my photographer in July and we got our album just after Thanksgiving.

DH and I dawdled with choosing, so we brought our pics in December, and we were told 3-5 months!

after choosing our photos and after 5 different layouts (4.5 months) it took them 6 weeks for me to recieve my albums.

I have had the proofs since October or November but cannot even face the task of chosing our pictures. I don't like the proofs AT ALL. The photographer has a 1980's eye for this stuff, and completely ignored our request for a photojournalistic style. So, I have no idea how long it will take but at the rate I'm going, we may never have an album!

I have had my proofs since the end of June. I am hoping to drop them off tomorrow. My MIL is asking where her album is! I am getting a mounting ablum so it will take 2 months aprox.

It took us a while to set everything up with the photographer - about 3 hours, because he had some ideas he wanted to share with us, and we all worked together to make the album perfect.
it did take a long time...but it was worth all of the work

4 months for the album after I handed everything in.

I got our proofs about 3 weeks after the wedding. We just met with the photographer this morning to go over our album and they said it should be ready in about 3 months!
