What song for the walk down the aisle? - With Poll

Are any of you walking down the aisle to something other than the traditional music? (forgot the name of it)

Are you having your bridal party walk down the aisle to something more contemporary?

I walked down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon in D... pretty traditional but not the Bridal March.

My BP walked in to Con Te Partiro by Andrea Bocelli played on the harp. It was beautiful...one of the moments where I had to fight back the tears!

I'll be walking down to the traditional wedding march or whatever they call it. Our Bridal Party will be walking down to Michael Gore's "Terms of Endearment" (which is the theme song from the movie, Terms of Endearment") It's FI's favorite movie and we both love the song. It's just so pretty and long enough for our bridal party entrance.

My processional will probably be traditional but I will walk down the aisle to "Con Te Partiro".

I was bagpiped down the aisle with my Dad!! It was the best thing!! I could cry right now thinking about it!!! Very powerful!!!

I used The theme from the Princess Bride for me, done by a string quartet. really nice...
And my BP walked into the theme from Life is Beautiful, Bongiuorno Principessa, also really pretty.

I alsways wanted to walk down the aisle to the theme from St. Elmo's Fire, but at the last minute, I decided I had to have the Wedding March.

Most weddings Ive been to everyone walks down to the traditional music...so I was thinking about "From this moment" by Shania Twain...but maybe I'll save that for the recessional.

BP will walk to China Roses by Enya
I will use the traditional Wedding March with my Dad
The Recessional will be something totally different-This Will Be-Natalie Cole-upbeat and fun!

Since I won the original composition contest, a composer will compose a song for me to walk down the aisle to and my bridal will walk down to the Canon in D.

My BP and I walked down to a song a friend of mine wrote called "Walk This World With Me." We had six of our friends singing it accapella.

My MOH walked down the ailse to an "Whiter Shade of Pale" played on the organ. It was stunning.

I'm not totally sure what I'll choose - but I've always loved Beethoven's Ode to Joy - so it will be used somehow.

I am trying to hire a cello and violinist to play at the ceremony. If I can afford it I want to have a classical rendition of My Life for the BM's and Here, There, Everywhere for me and my dad (Both songs are by the Beatles)

Here is some more info that some of you might be ineterested in:

My Temple will not allow us to play Wagner's wedding march. I looked into the reason and learned that Wagner was known to be VERY anti-Jewish and that his music is never played in Israel.

I originally dreamed of Here Comes the Bride but now that I have learned this, I have no desire to hear it!!!!!!

I'll post more info if I learn more about this issue.

My BP walked down to an instrumental version of Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum. I walked down the aisle w/ my mom to You Raise Me Up by Josh Grobin. And for the recessional we used (This will be) An Everlasing Love by Natalie Cole
