Can I start a registry online?

FH really doesn't find interest in registering which pisses me off.. Then I could've sworn that I seen a post about doing it online. Is this true? Can I register for Macy's, Fortunoff on line w/o going there??

Re: Can I start a registry online?

I believe you can. When we registered at Fortunoff, we did it in person and now that it's set up we have been able to add/delete items online. I'm sure you can set it up as well.

Re: Can I start a registry online?

yup. i registered at macy's and williams-sonoma online. it's quite easy. you can do that pretty much anywhere.

macys called me and told me about all these special deals you can do if you actually go in and meet with someone, so i'm sure they'll call you a couple of weeks after you register.

bloomingdales we started the registry in person, but i update them all online.

Of course, for stuff like dishes, silverware, crystal etc, we did all that in person so we could see what it looked like. but electronics and stuff - totally on line.

Re: Can I start a registry online?

Yup that's what I did. Well I went to bed bath and beyond but I have added and deleted stuff online.
But I registered completely online with Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma.

I do however recommend seeing china, everyday dishes, flatware and crystal in person.

Re: Can I start a registry online?

I just found out about a wonderful thing at Weddingchannel.com. You can set up your registry online through weddingchannel.com ( they are affliated with crate & barrel, Macys, Fortunoff, Bloomingdales, william - sonoma and a bunch more). And there is an option to chose a charity from a list they provide, and weddingchannel.com will donate to that charity (of your choice) anytime a gift is purchased on Weddingchannel.com.

I thought this was a wonderful idea..

So sign up today....

Re: Can I start a registry online?

I also registered online at BB&B and Macys. The only bad thing is, the web wont tell you if the item is in stock at your area stores. I registered for a few items that were not in stores, so I can only hope they will be purchased online. Also, different stores carry different stock, so you might find something at the store that is not offered online. Its always good to follow up at the actual store to see everything. If FH is not into going, dont drag him. Instead take a girlfriend or even your mom. They are much more helpful than FH would be.
