POLL: When Do I Send a TY for A Gift Rec'd From a No Response?
We've received 2 gifts (one was a check, the other a gift) from invitees who are unable to attend. My question is, when do we send out a TY card - now or wait until after the wedding with the pic? Or both? So confusing.
*To consider (for the check): we will have to cash it before the wedding so it's still valid. Do we want to cash it and not send a TY for a couple of months?*

i would send a thank you now - and if it is someone really close send the pic thank you after - if not that close - one thank you is fine
if you cash the check now definetly send a thank you now

I would think send one now and then send a pic later. Atleast this way you acknowledge their generosity and the fact that they arent coming. Then you can send the pic later.

I would say since your wedding is still almost 2 months away send it now and as someone else said if its someone close send a pic later.
We got gifts/checks from people who said no like a week before the wedding, so I waited until we did all our thank yous to send them one.

I think it'd depend on YOU....do you think you'd forget to write one later on? If so, then perhaps do it now, without the picture. Otherwise, I don't think it would be a "faux pas" to wait and send them out all together.
