i'd still say 2-3

money is nice, but the time you can devote to your kids is key

the more you have, the more you have to spread yourself thin being there for all of them as individuals

I am one of 7, I would love to be able to have a big family, give birth to some, and adopt some..but DH worries about college, and vacations, and the lack of things my family did due to the number of us..but I loved being in a big family and would do it again if I had the funds

I'd say 2....even with the lotto. Maybe 3 if we had 2 of the same gender.....but this is what we want anyway

I would stick to 2, most likely. Whoever said that it's all about the time you can give your kids is right. And in my family we had some "middle child" issues for a while. I don't know how my parents put up with it.

I want three, we are hoping to have three in this financial situation.. but if they are all the same gender I would like to keep trying... I guess if money was no issue we would do three and stop when we had at least 1 boy and 1 girl.

I have 2 and would only have 2 if money was not an issue. Kids are exhausting-lol!

5 for me. DH thinks I am crazy because I want 5 anyway. Since he only wants two 3 is our compromise.

Money is not too much of an issue for us in regard to kids, we are having our 3rd and we're financially comfortable but I don't think I want anymore. It's ALOT of work and I want to be able to give my kids the individual time and attention they each need, if you have lots of kids, that is virtually impossible (IMO)

But honestly if we ever did hit the lotto i would say i would have 2-3 naturally then adopt two (Like alichelene) from another country.

My DH's friend and wife from work had fertility problems and they decided that instead of IVF they would adopt from another country. Well over the past three years they have adopted two boys from Russia (one was 6 months the other was 9 months) that they make such an unbelievable family. When i see them i realize while i would love to have biological kids, i think me and DH would be such loving parents that we could take in just about anyone......someday i hope to adopt from another country but that is down the road.

Me and DH have spoken about it and he agrees that if we have issues TTC we will do it and if we have kids on our own we would love to try and adopt another baby......

STill just 2. I had a revelation in the supermarket a few weeks ago - there was this woman dragging two kids around with her. I hate the supermarket as it is - and really just crowds in general, especially when I have a bag to carry or something. I can't imagine being able to handle myself, the groceries and the kids!!!

Tracy - funny, a psychic told me I would have two as well and she was right when she told me I would meet the man I was going to marry about 4 years on - it was almost to the day!

I agree with the others. Money wouldn't change how many kids I would have. I want two. I don't want to be one of those moms who has to go through 5 names before she stumbles upon the name of the child she is talking to. I don't want a child to feel like he/she has to be self sufficient at a young age because mommmy is too buy with baby #5.

I want at least 2, probably 3. I would like another boy and then a girl. DH just wants 2, maybe 3 depending on finances.

When I was younger, I wanted a big family.. I had many friends with big families and I envied that. I was hoping for at least 4 kids But then again I also wanted to have all my kids before I was 30 yrs old, and here I am 35 and still not even on baby #1

So now, I really would love it to have at least 2 children -- and no, I dont think having more money would change that at this point in time. I don't think I have the energy, time or patience to really provide a good environment for any more than 2 ..

But whatever God blesses us with will be good enough for me
