Which bridesmaid would flatter a plus sized BM most?

I really want her to feel comfortable and feel pretty for her. She is such a sweetheart!! I dont want her to feel self conscious. Heres my favorites.. You pick for me?

BTW I like 1,2,4,5 the best but only 1, 4 & 5 come in my favorite color primrose..

Def the last one. The empire waist would be the most flattering. The other dresses are just too fitted.

Many plus sized women cannot wear strapless bras. You may need to find one with a thicker strap than the spaghetti straps. Also, I had plus sized girls and they wanted to cover their arms. I let them all go to David's Bridal because they carry a wide range of sizes (not just 1 size in each dress) and they all chose the best dress together. All my BMs wore the same dress...but they all decided on it together. It made all of them feel good about the choice.

I know this might not help, but it really depends on her body type. Empire waists can look more slimming, but I found that many of them cut me in the wrong place on the chest- which looks worse. If she is bigger on the bottom, the strapless ones might work, but many larger sized women do not look good or feel comfortable in strapless or spaghetti strap dresses. Why don't you show her a few styles and ask her?

I asked her, but I just added more dresses last night and just havent shown her yet. I know spaghetti straps dont help much but I think most if not all of the strapless comes with optional straps.. The last one comes in a REALLY light pink and a hot pink... Thats it... Not the color I wanted :(

Oh yeah I agree 100% about the arm thing and the strapless thing.
Maybe something with a cap sleeve? A 2 piece dress is very flattering usually too. That's what my girls had and they all looked nice, even though some were heavier than others.

Where is she plus size....boobs might be the only issue....so i would try and figure out what neckline she is comfortable with!! but they are ALL beautiful!!

I picked #4 for my plus size bm's. It comes with straps and a shawl (my bms are going to attach the shawl to the straps so it won't be so tough to hold on to it all night). It really is flattering and because it gathers around the boob area, it doesn't exentuate any bad areas.

As a plus size myself, I find that the softer chiffon fabrics are not flattering because they are more form fitting. Satins tend to keep their own shape instead of conforming to the body.

In terms of style strapless, or spagetti straps are fine, although some plus size woman feel self conscious. I personally think it can be flattering and youthful since plus size styles are often frumpy.

Empire / A-line waists are the most flattering -- the style of #5 you have is very slimming because of the empire waist and front drape/slit.

ETA: I'm not a fan of 2-piece dresses because they move independently from each other and the tops are often short-waisted which is not always that flattering.

Thank you for your advice.. My BM said the opposite of chiffon and satin - she doesnt want satin ( I did LOL)

I used to be plus sized, and I think they would all be flattering, but it really depends on her body shape and if she's ok with her arms being exposed. Even though I have lost a ton of weight - I still hate my arms!

P.S. - Spaghetti straps almost always make big arms appear even bigger, and empire waist does NOT WORK on busty girls.

I had to deal the same issue. Any dress with the twisted fabric near the stomach area is EXTREMELY flattering. I went with the Mori Lee style #335. All of the girls love it and feel very comfortable!! That makes me happy too!

For a plus size BM, I believe #6 is the style.

All of my BMs are plus size. ANd when they tried on the ones that gather across the front it looked like it was pulling, and too tight. I have to go with the last one. My girls are actually getting one similar to that. It really made them the most comfortable.

Myself, being a larger on top which most plus sized girls are - would feel most comfortable in #1
