Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
looking for more ideas... I checked out Old Navy and Mimi but the selections aren't that big. Went to Penney's and Macy's and maybe I'm blind but I didn't see any maternity clothes.
H&M in Roosevelt field mall had BABY clothes only in their Maternity section I think somebody needs to tell them that "maternity" is BEFORE the baby comes out.
Love Pea in the Pod but so
Going to look in Target and the Gap next but does anyone have any other places they shop?? Open to online too!

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
I get most of my clothes from Old Navy...I know the section is not too big but I found the basics there. Macy's doesn't have maternity clothes, I believe that JC Penney's has clothes through their catalog (that's where I got them from). I also went to Kohl's and got maternity for really cheap prices ($3-8 shirts and pants) but their selection is small too. My friend let me borrow some clothes and they're mostly from Gap...and a lot of cute stuff too. I bought my best jeans from Motherhood Maternity. They used to have a store in Roosevelt field but I received a card that they're moving to The Source Mall (next to Fortunoff's). They are reasonably priced and they have clothes for work and home.
Good luck!!

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
I went to Destination Maternity, accross from the Walt Whitaman Mall, it has Mimi Maternity, Motherhood Maternity and A Pea in the Pod all in this one store. I was always able to find nice stuff there and the price range goes from $ to $$$ so ther is something there for everyone.

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
I love Old Navy. I got all my basics from them.
It was the only story that actually cut maternity clothes according to size, especially pants. I was able to buy pants in extra small that were actually extra-small and I didn't even have to have them shortened.
I went to Motherhood maternity and JC Penny and found the close too big (even in size small) and too hideous (although Motherhood Maternity does have some nice things), even for a pregnant woman! I mean, we still have some kind of pride in our appearance... sort of

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
I used to buy it at old navy, h%m in the city and I actually splurged and got my seven maternity jeans in a pea in a pod. Motherhood was bad for me because there clothes were huge on me. Also gap but stuff on sale. I actually got this shirt at h&m when I was pregnant.

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
Old Navy for Pants.. I agree that they are the only inexpensive brand that is true to size and fit cute.
Motherhood for tops.. I never thought they would actually fit but somehow I'm buying Mediums and Larges there now. (naturally with room to grow till May since I seem to be growing foward!)

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
Macys in Walt Whitman does have a maternity section....its in the back corner of the store...possibly second floor?
Sears has some lands end maternity tops that are simple, cute, and affordable.
Target has some good basics, be aware that their sale prices can differ from store to store...
If you are out in the Riverhead area Baby Gap has a few small racks and a few wall units that are maternity wear.
I second ebay...Ive sold some things that I never had a chance to wear at a steal of a price!!

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
Mostly Motherhood/combo type stores for my work clothes (my office suits although I started dressing a little business casual - when I was really showing - - Mostly dress slacks and blouses.) I found H&M pants to fit me best as well in length and size. Macys in the city has a Pea in the Pod section and I got a few things there.
My casual stuff was mostly H&M and some Old Navy for tops - (pants did not fit me at all). Maybe Motherhood here and there....Not all H&M had maternity but I mostly went to the one in the source mall or the 2 on 34th street in the city.

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
I bought mostly Motherhood and H&M because I found that the other places like Pea in a Pod and Mimi were too expensive. It's not like I can wear these clothes after the baby's out!

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
To the pp who said you won't wear the maternity clothes after the baby is out... ummm yes you will. Don't expect to wear your regular jeans out of the hospital. You will be wearing maternity clothes for the next few weeks... esp. if you are having a c-section. Sorry to tell you that, but it is the truth. I think it is a rare few who don't wear their maternity clothes days after giving birth.

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
what about gap online and babystyle? both have nice maternity clothes, although gap runs big. I also used to go to NY&company for as long as i could &buy larger sizes. I think every 10 lbs you gain, you go up 1 size. their tops are long and their clothes are cut a little bigger than non-maternity clothes, and they have really cute stuff.

Re: Where do you buy your Maternity clothes...
I did well in Motherhood when I was PG before the M/C, I also found that Motherhood Maternity online had a huge selection and the sale prices were great.
Ebay is a great option and in my thrifting ventures, I've seen many maternity clothes at thrift stores/Goodwill with namebrand tags
