short cervix- my doctor is freaking me out big time.
Went for my level II sono yesterday and the doc mentioned that everything was fine but that my cervix was on the short side. normal
cervix is any where from 3.0-4.0 ( cm?) and mine is 2.9. She said it is still in the normal range but she wants to be extra cautios and check
on it by giving me sonos every three weeks. Also she said my boy is very big so far measuring a week ahead. She said the risk of short
cervix is preterm labor but there are things that they can do to prevent this,
that was all she needed to say I didnt hear much after that- she told me not to worry but Im totally panicing. Im only
20 wks. help?

All of my friends drs told them one thing or the other and scared them about their pregnancies. All had perfectly healthy babies. I think drs are overly cautious these days and scare people when in fact things are fine.
Your drs will monitor everything so that you and baby are well.

Please try to not worry/panic, I'm sure everything is fine. My doctors had me a wreck the entire pregnancy. I never thought I'd make it full term with the way they were talking. You would think they would want to keep the future mommies calm because stress doesn't help the babies but nowadays I think they need to CYA with all the malpractice out there (just in case there was a problem). Please hang in there!!

2.9 is so close to the normal range, and your doctor is going to be watching this closely... so you and baby will be fine!!!
