I can't stand my FMIL!!!!! Ahhh!!! (long VENT)

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! My FMIL is the most evil person I have ever met in my life!!! I always had the feeling that she did not like me. She'd always make stupid, vulgar remarks and always find ways to insult me in front of people or just in general. No matter how bad she treated me, I never, ever told FH how I really felt about her. I just sucked it up in hopes that she would change. It wasnt until recently that she just blew my lid and I finally told FH that I thought his mother was a jealous witch. She was constantly causing fights between us. She was the reason my New Years was ruined.

Well, yesterday FH was talking to his grandma and she blatantly asked "While you were in Iraq.. What do you think that little girl of yours was doing?!?!?" (Implying that I was cheating on him!!!) She was talking all this crap about me (without even knowing me) and told FH that if she lived near me she would follow me like a detective. I wish she would have so she could have seen me work all day then go to school until 10pm. Then FMIL started yelling and telling him that was cheating on him and that she nor the rest of her family was going to the wedding cuz she had already booked a trip to the Domincan Republic for 2 weeks so she could have her own little wedding with her new boyfriend and would not be coming home until August 14th. We get married on the 13th!!!!

How dare they say those things about me when they dont even live near me or know me!! They were not there when I cried in bed every night when he was away. They were not there when I spent all my weekends at home crying cuz I wished he was home with me. How dare they acuse me of such things. Of course, FH did not believe her cuz he knows how she is. If anything she's the one who has always cheated on her past husband's!! All 3 of them! She knew our wedding date since July... and she knew since a month ago I was using FH's little brother and sister in the bridal party. How could she do that to her son on purpose?? What kinda mother could say such a thing to her first born?? She hasnt involved herself or called me to see how the planning is going. NOTHING!

I have never said anything to insult her but this was the last straw. I called her and asked her what kinda mother could do such a thing to her first son?!?!.... and she hung up on me!!! So I called her back and told the Stupid biatch to go to hell. Bleh!! I was soo sad I cried. More because for FH cuz I felt bad for him, but also because I was insulted in being called a floozy when all Ive ever done is love her son unconditionally and stuck with him when times were the worst in his life.

I am sorry you have to go through this - it is not fair to you at all......good thing you don't live near her!

I don't know what to say but stick to your FH's side and thakn God he understands and knows it is not you!

I never understood mothers that get jealous of the girl their son is marrying...it's just ridiculous. I would feel so bad for your FH...but to be honest, maybe it's better that she's not there...i can't imagine the scene she would make for you at the wedding. At least you will be able to relax that day. also...try not to take it to heart..this woman is OBVIOUSLY missing a few screws..and remember your FH chose you to spend the rest of his life with..he obviously doesn't care what his mom thinks...that says alot...good luck and try to be calm.....

She is a terrible terrible horrible person and shouldn't refer to herself as "mother". God sees everything and like I always say "What goes around, comes around".

That is absolutely disgusting how she is ripping the family apart. Just remember while she is pointing her finger at you their are three pointing right back at her. Obviously with three ex husbands.

Try to find assurance and comfort in FH supporting you and not his mothers stupidity

that is so awful that she would put you through this...i am so sorry. do your best to calm down and take comfort in the fact you did the right thing by standing up for yourself. very hard to sometimes.

Awful, just awful- you poor guys. There are just people in life who really have no sense of guilt when they hurt others. They don't have to be ax murderers to be hateful people without empathy. They are called sociopaths. I am so sorry your FMIL is one of them. You did the right thing by sticking up for yourself and I am glad your FH stood by you.

She is obviously miserable w/ her own life and jealous of her own son. - Obviously she's not someone he's going to model his marraige after - (3 husbands and she's cheated on every one? ) -
Be thankful that HE realizes she is wrong -
and the he KNOWS you well enough to trust YOU ..............

Holy cow! Honey, I am so sorry that she is like that, Oh my God! I have to tell you that I am so grateful you have your FH who sees through all of it and my gosh, I am so sorry that she is like that. She sounds extremely unstable and I just wish that you both didn't have to go through this. Oh my gosh, maybe its better that she isn't there...

As hard as iti s and as frusrtrating it is for you keep in mind its probably 10x's worse for FH. I couldn't ever picture my mom not being happy for me and wanting to be a part of this very special day. As long as you are there for each other you will have the most magnificant day of your life!!

Just remember to...BREATHE and vent as much as you want here. THat's what we are all here for!

i am SO SO sorry about this!!!! you make my fmil seem like a saint now just remember you're marrying your fh, not her.....good luck with everything
