Slips- crinoline or hoops? What are you all wearing?
I have to buy a slip for my ballgown dress. My wedding is in the middle of July. I've heard that a full crinoline slip gets hot, while a hoop skirt is a little cooler because it is away from your legs. I am a little worried about be able to function in a hoop skirt. Can you tell me your experiences with either.

I had not heard that before about it getting hot.......my friend had a hoop and it was kinda funny when she sat down and her dresses was still so round at the bottom. She liked it though and said she felt comfortable. I am not sure either which one I will get.

hoops are not as normal in this country - i tried a lot of dresses on in Australia - and they primarily use hoops - it is easier to wear a hoop under a ball gown then a crinoline - it moves the weight out - plus they are lighter a lot less layers to get the fullness - it is easier to sit with a crinoline but a hoop is not too bad
I would see if you can try your dress or a sample with both types slips

i'm using a crinoline, i just have images of my head of not being able to fit through doorways with a hoop slip!

the hoops are not that big and they do bend - they are not the ones from the 1800's

I wearing blue crinoline :D (my something blue) The hoop skirt seemed too restrictive for me.

That is the one I was thinking of getting, but I heard about all these girls wearing hoops and how it was much cooler. I am really not into the thought of dealing with a hoop- especially sitting and dancing for FH with it.
