Guest List-Work Etiquette

Hello Brides!

I need some help! What is the rule when inviting co-workers, supervisors, employees, etc.? I am a supervisor, so I have to invite my entire staff, right? What about supervisors? Do I only invite my immediate supervisors? What about other "higher" supervisors that I work very closely with on committees, etc.?

I think the rule is to be equitable across levels.

If anyone from work is included then you should definately ask the person or persons you report directly to. Other "higher" supervisors are optional, but if you invite one from that level you should include all at that level that you work closely with.

My wedding is in Riverhead but I live and work in South Jersey. There are 3 co-workers that I would invite but what about my boss and his wife. I know they won't come b/c they have 2 kids but should I invite him anyway.

What do you think?

Thanks Ladies!

I guess I'm going to invite all of my staff (without guests because this is an intimate affair) and I probably should not even invite my supervisors, b/c it could get touchy. For example, I can't invite any other administrators on my level b/c if I invite one I have to invite them all! Do I have to invite my immediate supervisors? Going above them is completely out of the question, however, one of them is closer than the other, but if I invite her then I have to invite him... If I invite my staff w/o guests then I would have to invite my supervisor's w/o guests as well, right? Please help!
