Anyone moving to North Carolina?

My FH and I are going in March to hopefully buy... we've been researching on newhomes.com - great site by the way! LI is just WAY too expensive, and I don't want to be renting for the rest of my life. We're looking at the Cary area which is supposed to be one of the nicest places to live. It's just outside of Raleigh...

I'd love to know if anyone else is moving down there, where and what builder they bought from....

I really don't have an answer to yoru question, but NC is on our list of possible places to move to also. I agree that LI is getting to be impossible to afford.

We've been to Charlotte a few times, but heard things about the Raleigh area too. Good luck to you and DH.

I live in NC. You might also want to consider Morrisville, Apex and North Raleigh. I've lived in North Raleigh, Cary and Morrisville. I love it down here. From my experience in the last 5.5 years of being down here, I absolutely love the Cary/Apex/Morrisville area the best. A lot of NY'rs there and in N. Raleigh. It's getting expensive though since when I first moved down. Definitely better than LI.
