I LOVE NEW YORK!!!

Doesn't anybody else?

I feel like there are a lot of people that hate NY...which is fine because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I am living out of state now and really miss NY...so it is depressing to hear people say they can't wait to get out of there...

Anyone else love it like me?

I have lived outside of nyc 2 times. Once upstate...ugh. I also lived in Chicago. It's nice, but not NY. NY has everything a person could ever want or need.

I'll give you them! I moved to philly 5 years ago closer to my college friends...it was nice, but nothing beats New yorkers! Yeah it's more expensive, and yeah the traffic is horrible..(i did long distance for 5 years...my Fiance was on li...belt parkway almost every weekend), but i always referred to myself as a new yorker. so here i am 5years later, living in an overpriced house, happier than ever! Best of luck to everyone who moves off the island and actually gets land with a house they buy, but as for me...i'm not going anywhere!

I miss my family and the NY lifestyle a ton.

FH is from MA and he lived in NY while I was in law school, and his family is all in MA. We discussed it last night and he agreed we can move back to NY in a few years....I am SOOOO happy...

I can't imagine living or raising my children (when I have them) anywhere else!!!!

Ya know, I love NY also... however, after travelling around the country into Southern states, I love it much less then I used to.


My FH and I are moving 2-4 months after our wedding to the Raleigh area of NC. We were there last weekend looking for an apartment and then when we are there, look for a house and/or property. I can't wait!!

As much as I hate the LI traffic and everything being incredibly overpriced, I honestly couldn't picture living or raising my children anywhere but here!!

I absolutely love New York! I went to New Orleans during hurricane Ivan and made me realize being stuck there how much I just love New York and everything we have here. Like they say we have everything at our fingertips. We can be and do anything in NY! I had contemplated moving out of state for lower priced homes but I love it here too much. I would miss it.

I am very mixed about NY...while I love the opportunities and the fact that there are a millioini things to do, I do not like the cost and the attitude lately. I love virginia and while I am certain there are many things I will miss about New York, I WONT miss the fact that FH and I will never be able to afford a home here. Virginia here we come!

I was out of state for almost 9 years between college and graduate school. I loved visiting LI and NYC and missed it while I was there, couldn't wait to move back. I have to say, there's a big difference btn getting tovisit (e.g., experiencing all the stuff you love for short period of time) vs having to live here. There are tons of great things about NYC. I think it's a fabulous place to visit. I find it overwhelming at times to live here (price, traffic, overcrowding, and attitude). I think my time in a different environment really changed my perspective, which is now--- LI/NYC is a fabulous place to visit family, take advantage of the best restaurants, shows, museums on your visit. I think overall quality of life when you live here day to day is not great compared to other regions. BUT I know some people LOVE living here and I think that's awesome for them! We're all different (thank God!)

i miss it soo soo much...upstate isnt the same as the city

some days im dying with boredom and wish i was home so i could hop on a train and go to the Met or Central Park, window shop on 5th ave or even go to the village!

Its a cultural heaven for me- FH loves the country though ....we will have to compromise but yes..

I could never move out forever!!!! I've traveled to many other cities, states and countries and NOTHING beats NEW YORK!!

There are things I wouldnt mind changing but there are no places anywhere like NY.

I lived in the mountains of Idaho and LOVED it! There was beautiful scenery, wonderful people, no litter, low crime and the speed limit was 70? LOL But I really missed the melting pot. Everyone was exactly the same.. It was almost wierd.

I lived in Nevada, definately a melting pot where I was, nice, but too many casinos... no ocean etc..

There is no place like NY where you can have a big beautiful city, visit beaches, the great lakes, mountains, go hiking, dairy farms to duck farms to vineyards etc I could just keep going :)

While I do love New York... I think I enjoy it more as a visitor...

I was born outside of DC and lived there till I was 4. As great as NY is, and as happy as I am that I grew up there, I've wanted to move back to VA since I moved...

I just can't stand the traffic - I litterally make myself sick because I get so stressed out driving in the traffic.

I completely understand why people wouldn't want to leave - it's a truely unique and amazing place... but it just isn't for me...

i <3 NY. I really love teh city. Its the best place in the world (IMO) I think when we settle we'll end up on Long Island though.
