Anyone know of a great reception place/restaurant on Long Island - on golf course or the water for 30/40 guests?

Try Glad's on Crabmeadow golf course in Northport. You get the golf course and the sound all in one.

The woodlands in syosset is really nice. they do big weddings, but i had my shower there and there were about 40 people. the place is gorgeous and the food is fantastic..service is great as well.

My friend got married in a simple ceremony on the Glen Cove Country Club/Golf Course. It was beautiful and perfect. Its also on the sound. The food was good too.
No dance floor however.

I had my wedding at Timber Point--it is on a golf course on the water. I know popular seasons were a min. of 100 or 150, but off-season or weeknights they might do a 30 or 40 person party...

Snuff Mill has a mx of 110, but I still think their minimum would be higher than what she's looking for.

Not sure of their minimum- but try Bellport Country Club. They also have a restaurant there so they might be able to help you.

I just thought of another idea, what about having your wedding on a yacht? I'm sure they can cater to a party your size and you'd definitely have your water views!

North shore Nassau County:
Carlton on the SOund - Bayville
Steve's Pier I - Bayville
Steamboat Landing (In the Marina) - Glen Cove (inside and outside bars and seating)
North Shore Suffolk County:
Three Villiage Inn - Stoney Brook (very good!)
La Plage - Rocky Point
Stonewall's (Riverhead - Golf Course)
Good luck.. if I think of more I will let you know.

Try looking into TimberPoint Country Club. We had our engagement party there, and it was awesome.

I was also going to recommend Sans Souci - I think the style is what you are looking for, but I think their min. might be higher than 50

Check out Carlyle on The Green..not the big ballroom, but they have a really nice restuarant that you can have a smaller affair at...and it's right on the golf course.

Depends on teh budget because after fuel and the fee to bring in your own caterer etc..it can add up to the same as having a 100 person wedding.

Try Sansouci ... it is IDEAL for smaller weddings. I believe its near Glen Cove (on the North Shore of LI)
