What is the average cost of say 125 invitations??
I went to look at invitations yesterday, and they quoted me $397....is that avg? Low? or too much? Need info please!!

depends on the style...u may want to price that invite with other vendors.
example...someobody wanted to charge me 700 for invites but i got them for 500...
big difference

it all depends - what are the invites you are looking at?
I am going with a involved invitation (pocketfold) and I will be paying about $450 for 100 invites.
They can be much less expensive though...

I am ordering 125 and am paying $290. I ordered a middle of the road invitation but I felt I got a good deal from Sweet Nut Hut. Cathy is really nice. If you want her # just fm me.

You can honestly spend anywhere from $150 to over $1500 on 125 invites, it just depends what you want.
Ours was $800 for 150.

I'm with eagora, mine were 700 for 100 invitations, and we were told that was middle of the road, so honestly they run the gamut in price range

so i was looking at the low end of the road (i think, or at least that's what i was quoted. not a heavy stock of paper, but it had 2-fold opening in vellum and it was gorgeous.

IF you love it, get them...we weren't shown anything under 500 dollar per 100 and I was a bit pissed, but it was the place we went to, a storefront in my town, we didn't want the hassle

I paid $150 for 100 invitations - mine were simple yet elegant and I received many compliments on them. Julz33 raved about Uptown Downtown shopping so I used them too. Very happy with price, delivery and service!

To make you all feel a bit better I work with a girl who is getting married in Aug, and she spent over 2k on hers. She knows she got completely ripped off, but her mother in law was in charge of it, so she can't say anything

I do not know why these are so expensive. Im finding invites for $125 for 100. My friend already bought hers online and got them and they were perfect... That was for invites and envelopes.

Invite price varies greatly based on thickness of paper, kind of paper (handmade, natural fibers, fabric, machine made, etc.), printing style (flat printing, thermography, engraving, letterpress, etc.), quantity and so on...
I definitely say order samples first. There were some I loved online and hated once I felt it in person. Tey www.easiestwedding.com, they have all the online retailers (Rexcraft, American Wedding Album, Elaine, etc.) in one place.

As stated above, it all depends on the quality of the invitation. I'm looking at less expensive invitations, so we're looking at spending $300 or so for $175 invites. I'm using UptownDowntown wedding too.
