Re: What advice have you received that you think is valuable?

FH's cousin said:
1. Do what YOU & FH want to do and don't let anyone interfere.

....I also try to remind myself that no matter what I do, the wedding will last one day. The important part starts the day after.

DON'T OVERSHOP!

You'll end up second guessing yourself too much. So many brides will go to over a dozen vendors for the same service. You'll drive yourself crazy with too many choices. Make a list of what you want and what price you're willing to pay and when you find a vendor you like who fits those parameters, GO with it. Life is too short to run around trying to find the vendor that's $50 cheaper.

Re: What advice have you received that you think is valuable?

1- Enjoy every moment, it goes by fast

2-It is FH & your wedding, do not let anyone interfere especially when you are the ONLY ones paying.

3- Don't get into debt for only 5 hours

4- Get a good photographer, those pictures will be your only memory down the road.

5- Remember not to fight with FH over wedding things, the wedding is just the celebration, your marriage is the real gift!

2- don't overspend

3- and it is YOU and FH's decisions....

Re: What advice have you received that you think is valuable?

Get plenty of rest the night before the wedding. I think the most meaningful advice we have been given was to always keep in mind the most important reason why are doing this- to be married. I always try to keep this in mind when I am stressing about something.

Re: What advice have you received that you think is valuable?

1. It's one day...don't put yourselves into debt bc of it...

2. Enjoy planning it with each other.

3. Don't forget what the real meaning of "marriage" is...not the reception but the actually ceremony and starting a new life with your spouse
