Yes it is possible.. We upgraded our seats to fly first class.. I would book early though cause they do not have many upgradable seats or awards seats on every flight.

Yes - you can! I use my AA credit card all the time and I've booked several flights using the points I earned. Kinda doesn't make you feel so bad for charging so much when you know you can get airline tickets from it!!

We used our points for our HM too but we didn't get first class. I dont' know how many points you need for that.

We got 2 roundtrip business class tix to Italy for our HM using points, but points from frequent flyers, not points on CC. You have to book really early to take full advantage of it.

My parents tried that once...and it was a scam....personally i dont like AA....lol!

Is it possible, but you do have to book early. They restrict a LOT and may cut you off from booking too close to the date.

We got our HM plane tickets to Hawaii on our AA miles. We ended up being bumped to first class so it was great!! We booked about 6-7 months beforehand.

It's not a scam at all...FH flies AA at least once per week on business, and we've booked tons of free flights using points.
