I know the first reading will be "song of songs." I've always loved that one. FH and I haven't discussed the others yet.

These are what I picked, sorry I don't have the whole reading. Did you go to PreCana class? If so, look in that booklet they gave you "Together For Life" they are all in there.
*Edited to say: I think the Second reading is very similar (if not almost the same). I wanted another reading but couldn't find it in Italian....oh well, but anyway I just wanted to tell you
First Reading The two of them become one body Genesis 2:18-24
Responsorial Psalm The Lord is compassionate to all His works Psalm 145:8-9, 10 and 15, 17-18
Second Reading For this reason a man shall leave… Ephesians 5:31-33
Gospel Acclamation and VerseGod is love; let us love one another as God has loved us
Gospel The Wedding at Cana John 2:1-11

Re: Getting Married in the catholic church?? Can you post the readings you have picked!
Can you use something like this or it has to be out of the bible??
The Art Of A Good Marriage - Wilferd Arlan Peterson Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens. A good marriage must be created. In the art of marriage, the little things are big things… It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say "I love you" at least once a day. It is never going to sleep angry. It is never taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through all the years. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is standing together facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family. It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is not expecting the husband to wear a halo or the wife to have wings of an angel. It is not looking for perfection in each other. It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humor. It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow. It is finding room for the things of the spirit. It is a common search for the good and the beautiful. It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal. It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.

Usually, in Catholic churches, it does have to be from the Bible but you can talk to your priest

Definitely ask your priest before you get too set on using something else. I know that we have to use one of the approved readings from the book we got at pre-cana.
