Today is my RSVP date

As of yesterday, I recieved a little more than half the invites. At what point do I start calling people?

I would start calling tomorrow evening, after you have received the mail. Many people probably sent their responses yesterday or the day before, so give it one extra day. But definitely start calling tomorrow evening.

i'd give it two days because it takes about two days - so if they mailed it on the rsvp date it could take two dates

i would say - that we need to tell the catering hall by the end of the week our final number and we need to know if you are attending the wedding and how many

When do you have to have the numbers in? If you have some time for that, I'd wait until the weekend. For some reason, some people think of the date on the rsvp card as the date they need to mail by.

Also, make the people whose guest each is call, don't put it all on yourself!

I'd wait another 2-3 days, then start calling or give out parts of the list for other people to call them (like your parent, MIL, or MOH). Tomorrow's too soon IMO.

A little over half? Wow....what is wrong with people? This is stress you do not need. I would definitely have someone else call like your MOH or another family member. Good luck!

My date was the 19th and I've started calling today. My MOH mailed hers in on the 19th and it came on Saturday. With the storm I think some mail got held up. I'd give it until next week. No point in stressing yourself out just yet. You can do that next week.

My RSVP date was this past Saturday. I will start calling people this weekend. I figured I would give about a week for the stragglers to show up.

I agree...just give it a few more days. Most people will find it in their pile of bills on their desk and be like "Oh, $h!t"

My rsvp date was the 16th. I sent my friends that were missing a casual email 2 or 3 days later. My fmil called anyone who was missing 2 days later and now I have almost all my rsvps

Yea, I'm thinking the maximum is to give them a week. You can just say, "I don't want to bother you but I need to put my final numbers into teh caterer and was just wondering whether you would be able to attend the wedding." Not to stress you out, but one or two may not have even received the invite (ie. sticky fingers of a two year old, getting lost in the mail, etc.) Everyone understands what it means to plan a wedding, they'll understand you calling. And if you don't feel comfortable and your parents do, maybe have them follow up on some too.

I have every intention of making the person responsible for the invite to the guest call to follow up. If my FIL decided to invite aunt and unlce A and I haven't received an RSVP, they are calling to find out why!

But that is nuts that you are missing so many! People can be rude, inconsiderate, or just naive sometimes!

If it makes you feel any better my rsvp date was now 9 days ago and I just got 4 more rsvps in the mail. And 1 was from one of our groomsmen
