any teachers teach summer school or know anything about it??

I have no children yet and don't have enough hobbies to occupy my schedule.

Has anyone taught summer school??

If so, how do you find out what schools have summer school and those that are hiring and when??

When do they start looking for applicants?

I have taught summer sped preschool for my district for the past 5 years. summer school is VERY hard to cme by sice they like to take their own first before outside district teachers. They also tend to offer it to teachers who have taught summer school for them in the past.

I believe you can call up/inquire through boces about summer school placement. I believe they do a lot of recruiting for districts in the summer.

i also teach summer school and they hire teachers within the district. they start the ss porocess in march...

i also teach summer school and they hire teachers within the district first. they start the ss process in march... but i know a teacher who i worked with- she left for another district but came back to teach summer school in our district!!

If you are looking in the city, the hiring process doesn't begin until May.
