NWR: Anyone work for a fantastic law firm
On LI that is looking for an associate? I took a job with an NYC office that is not working out that well and I can't conduct a job search while at work, which is all the time, so I'm not sure how to find another. TIA

Get a headhunter. They do all the work for you. There are tons of them out there. I have about 8 working for me....not for LI law firms though.
Most headhunters cold call lawyers a few times a month anyway. You should start getting those calls soon (if you haven't already). If not, call them. Try www.law.com and www.lawcrossings.com too.

Started out at the Nassau DA's office as a prosecutor. Now i'm doing insurance defense. So, my experience is in litigation, but I'm not set on doing one thing in particular. Will try those sites from home sometime. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not liking it! You know I love my firm and they're hiring for certain departments too but they're only in NYC. I'll send you an FM though about another firm.

Try Monster.com and sign up for alerts...they will email you every day with jobs that match what you're looking for. I did this and every morning before work I'd email my resume to those on my alert. i received the most intereviews this way (and I didn't even use a coverletter).
