Hawaiian Resorts - good ones to look into?

For honeymooning, want to go to HAWAII!!!

Can u recommend any good resorts & islands?

Know nothing about them and need help.

we are going for our hmin april, we are staying at the hyatt in kauai, the fairmont kea lani in maui, and the alli tower at the hilton village in oahu. we chose these hotels due to alot of research on which sides of the islands to stay on and from other peoples opinions.

We went to oahu, Kaui and Maui. Stayed at the Outrigger Waikkiki on the Beach in Oahu and the Sheratons in Kaui and Maui.


DH and I Loved, Loved, Loved the Sheraton in Kaui. Kaui was a great island, very tropical and not as built up as the others

I was looking into the Four Seasons, Grand Wailea, Fairmont and Princeville...but decided on Mexico (go figure). But wanted to recommend the following TA's for Hawaii - they live there and give the best quotes BY FAR!

We're thinking about the 4 Seasons Resort Hualalai on the Big Island. It looks amazing.

FH and I went to Oahu and Maui in August 2003. Oahu was OK...nothing too special about it....very city like, lots of tall buildings, etc.

However...Maui was amazing! We stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel and it was awesome. It is billed as "the most Hawaiian hotel"...we really loved it there...every night they put these delicious cookies on your pillow and they gave us a lot of freebies since they thought we were on our honeymoon (we never bothered to correct them!) and they also had a great Sunday brunch there (which you need to make reservations for).

Definitely go to a luau while you are there....it was so much fun!

We can't wait to go back someday!

I can only go by what a patient of mine has said hes been to Hawaii 10 times and counting- he rec the Princeville in Kaui
also said the big island is nice and ohua I have to call him to get the details as soon as I get them I will pass them along I will call him tues morning. He is mr. traveler all over the world hes been. this man is loaded and stays only at the best so I really do appreciate his opinion. May not be able to afford his choices but def take his input!!!

We are staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui and the Hyatt in Kauai. I've also heard good things about the Ritz and the Four Seasons in Maui and the Princeville in Kauai.

we did the hyatt hopper and stayed at the Hyat on Oahu Maui and Kauaii all beautiful and got a better deal for using there hotels on each island. Good luck

We stayed at the Westin at Ka'anapali Beach
in Maui and loved it. We also stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa beach on the Big Island andf loved that too. I haven't really heard any complaints from anyone who stayed at any hotel on Hawaiin Islands but definitely speak to a travel agaent who has been there. They can give you the best advice.

I lived in Hawaii for 6 years....and have some advice....you need to decide which island first--then pick the resort. Maui is very filled w/tourists....for more privacy you may want to try Lanai there are only 2 resorts & are both outstanding--also on the Big Island the Orchid Hotel is unbelievable & if you rent a 4wheel drive-there are plenty of secluded beaches you can get to...and see the volcano....fm me if you need more specific info

ABSOLUTELY loved the Four Seasons at Wailea. Spent 10 glorious days there on the club level (complimentary cocktails and food all day long). I cannot wait to go back!!!
