bridal shower invite question?
hey guys
was wondering, ray has two aunts and a grandmother that live out of state. i know they probably wouldn't come to the bridal shower...should i invite them for etiquette reasons? i don't want it to look rude like we're asking for gifts. they're immediate family so i was just wondering what the rules are? what about out of state people i think would want to go?

I would send an invite then ask FMIL or someone to let them know that you do not expect them to make the trip. I am sure they would be glad to be included.

Yes def. send an invite. I am sending to all relatives that live out of state. They might even send a gift even if they don't come. My mom did when it was their showers and she was invited.

Oh, definitely invite them! FH's grandmother flew up from Florida and his aunt down from Vermont for mine. I never would have thought they would. I can't imagine how it would have been taken if I hadn't invited them to the shower

Yes definitely send it! Since its immediate family it doesn't look like you are asking for gifts. They would probably be insulted if they didn't get an invite.
