Oh, I just thought of something (I don't know how much it'll cost), but....instead of flower centerpieces maybe you can get min-christmas tress as the centerpiece!

Oh, I am! I am! And let me just tell you how much fun it is planning a winter wedding.

Where to begin?
Well, the colors are red and gold. The BM dresses are red and my bouquet is 2-3 dozen red roses. Trying to do candelight at the Church. Wearing a fake-fur lined cape. Cocktail hour is going to have "specialty drinks" like cider or something with cinnamon. Votive candles are red. HOliday music playing during cocktail hour and dinner. Each table is going to be named another holiday song. Snowflake stick-on's on all the placecards. Placecards sitting on fake snow. OOT baskets will have an ornament thanking everyone for coming, hot chocolate packets, and things related to staying warm. BM gifts are going to be put int hese beautiful velvet box that looks like its wrapped with a beautiful silver bow on top. Favors are going to be ornaments. Um....I think thats all for now. Its such a great time of year to plan!

Re: Anyone doing a Christmas/winter themed wedding??

I'm planning a winter wedding as well!!!

Theme is snowflakes...with navy blue and white being the primary colors.

My centerpieces are Mikasa silver spiral Christmas trees with silver snowflakes dangling from them. This will be surrounded by blue and white ornaments on the table, as well as snowflake confetti.

Our placecard holders will be small wrapped prsent boxes that i bought from Ikea. They were navy with a white bow - PERFECT! I will make a small slit on the top of the gift for the placecard. These boxes will it on fake snow.

We're making white chocolate snowflakes for everyone's placesetting, and for favors, we're having our names personalized on a mug, with a tea bag inside.

For our OOT guests, we bought snowflake baskets from Michaels that we plan to fill with lots of seasonal treats.

And, my bridemaids gifts will be places in a navy blue stocking with white fur that I'll personalize with their names.

For outside the church, I'm having guests throw fake snow at us, courtesy of Jan05Bride.

That's all I can think of for now.....I love planning for that time of the year!!!

Re: Anyone doing a Christmas/winter themed wedding??

my MOH had a winter themed-Xmastime wedding (DEC 27). she left the church decorated with all the Christmas fare and added nothing except a few white pew bows as markers. our dresses were deep red from vera wang. her gown was a diamond white. she had white flowers and simple center peices that were wintery-a little bare looking and modern. her cake had little snowflakes, it was really pretty! here are a few pictures...

I have a blakc/white/silver snowflake themed winter wedding. I made a snowflake cake card box, 8 snowflake ribboned pew bows, 18 snowflake table numbers and a couple other things that I'll probably sell or rent on here when I'm done very soon!

Re: Anyone doing a Christmas/winter themed wedding??

All of the ideas are wonderful!

I'm giving lenox ornaments as favors (see pic)

I'm also having small grapevine wreaths instead of pew bows (the picture has them done up for autumn, I'll just winterize them) The wreaths cost 50 cents at Michaels.

Bridesmaid's are wearing black dresses (I've asked them to choose a formal black dress) and will carry bouquets with evergreens, burgundy ribbon, roses, berries, etc.

I'm hoping the people outside the church can have sparklers, but who knows. Would love to have the church by candlelight -but dont know if that's allowed.

Placecard numbers will be attached to candycanes that will be standing upright in bed of snow.

and perhaps carolers at cocktail hour.
