when stars get married do they change their last name to their husbands or do you think they keep their maiden name?
the one i have seen was Cortney Cox Arquette ..

I saw Britney on the E channel saying that she legally changed her name to Britney Spears Federline. Although she uses Spears professionally.
One other that I know of is Pam Anderson...Lee...Anderson...Lee
I always wondered about Jessica Simpson, she seems like such a romantic I would think legally she changed her name to Lachey but uses Simpson?

Her legal name is Jennifer Pitt but for movies and tv she goes by Jennifer Anniston. I have no idea why she just didn't become Anniston-Pitt.
Edited to say: If you look at the track record of celebrity marriages, a good majority of them don't last. (Well the ones that always make the tabloids anyway!) Maybe they're making things easier for themselves by keeping their own last name in case they get a divorce.

I think most keep their names for their careers. When they are not doing things they are known by they're married name...I heard this about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston...to her friends and family she is Jennifer Pitt
