I just figured something out regarding the "time of the month" I'm getting married?
AHHHHHHH, (alright this is turning out to be a horrible night! first with the "annie hair color" now this: I just found out my wedding falls during a "period" of the month and although I should be okay for the honeymoon- is anyone else going to have this problem and if so...what to do? Does it really work to just take active pills all the way through?

yeah if you are on birth control pills, skip your period one month by skipping the inactive pills and you will get your period the week before the wedding

My FH & I went to Cancun in May on vacation and my period was due that week, well my gyn said not to take the "Inactive" pill and to start a new pack instead...it works!!!

You should definitely take use the pills to change your schedule. If you have enough time - you should work it out to get your period before your wedding and honeymoon so that you won't be bloated and cranky!!!! (that's how I felt when I added a week.) Add the week a month or so before so it changes the future schedule!

In Israel, they won't marry you if you have your period at the time of the wedding. Can you believe this? Many girls are forced to go on the pill to allow them to maneuver their periods with the active pills!
I am not on the pill So don't know what to do...

I'm on the pill, well patch, and thankfully I can predict when it will come. I'm to get it the week before the wedding, hopefully.

yes yes yes... take the active pills. It works like a charm. you won't be bloated and you won't have your period. My doctor tells me to do this she says its fine and perfectly safe if you have a big event.

I have skipped many AFs...just continue taking the pill and you will skip a month. It is ok to do once in a while. Good luck!

You can definitely just keep taking the active pills to skip your period that month. While it's true you have the rest of your lives, do you really want to deal with "that" on your wedding day?

Re: I just figured something out regarding the "time of the month" I'm getting married?
Ask your gyno, she might even give you an extra sample box of pills to keep you on track. I would definetly skip the pills early though because there can sometimes be some side effects (nothing bad)... I know when I went to my new gyno she noticed my e-ring and asked when I was getting married... then told me we'd figure out if I should skip pills or not so that I'd be good for the wedding... which I thought was awesome. Turns out I'll get it the day after the honeymoon which is good!!
BTW- a cool source that I read about on here a while ago... My Monthly Cycles Once you start tracking you can predict up to 18 months in advance! It's pretty cool!!

I rerouted my period so now it comes at the beginning of the month instead of wedding time

Re: I just figured something out regarding the "time of the month" I'm getting married?
Hmmn, maybe I should check mine. I think I'm okay though, but honestly I don't think my FH would care .
Oh, the rerouting the pill thing does work. I've done it before by mistake...
