I am so ready to quit my job
I get anxious and nauseous when I think of the week ahead. I am SO undertrained for my job, getting no help and no support. And when my mistakes come to light, I get reamed out for not asking for help, but when I ask for help, my boss is too busy and spits out half an answer and expects me to know what she means. When I find a place to live with future hubby, hopefully within the next month, I AM SO QUITTING.

Re: I am so ready to quit my job
I can't understand why boss' dont want to train people. A friend is in the same position. They want her to figure the work out on herself. Then when she's having trouble go to them. That's not how training should go.

Re: I am so ready to quit my job
I am in the same boat and can empathize completely...its terrible. I wasn't trained and had to learn my position on my own...and my manager has no clue how to help. He only does sales negotiation, but nothing technical or having to do with actual contracts. Therefore i get anxiety and upset when something goes wrong..I hold myself responsible even though he tells me "oh don't worry, you didn't know..". WELL i NEED to know so i can feel like i'm doing a good job. Its terrible..I want to quit so badly but can't. Not without something else lined up...

I couldn't have said this any better. I was put into my position because they know I amm going to school for HR and wanted to give me a chance to do it as well. I was told I would get support as I learned. Yeah, that lasted for all of about a month. Now I am expected to be this experienced HR knowledge with no help whatsoever. I hate it so much! I have stock options though that are keeping me here for a little while longer. Don't know how much longer I can hold out though.

i KNOW that feeling when it gets to that point, it is time to look for something else. you shouln't be miserable for 40+ hours per week.

Re: I am so ready to quit my job
Thanks for the support, guys. Quitting would most likely mean a pay cut, and Im still saving for a wedding and someplace to live, so its hard to weigh which is more important, being miserable and making $$, or being happy and poor.
Every week I believe more and more that work shouldnt make me feel this miserable.

Re: I am so ready to quit my job
I have the opposite problem. My boss walks me through every detail extremely well. Then when I ask a question to make sure I understand, he goes over it again and kinda talks down to me, as if I am a baby.
