When to book the florist?

When to book the florist?
Am I supposed to be booking NOW for august? I thought I only needed to go like 4 months before? Do they really need to be booked so far in advance? Do they ever become "overbooked"?

I suggest you book after January. I think the florist should be booked 6-8 months before.

It really depends. If you're going with a big floral shop then you have plenty of time, but people like Laurie from LA Blossom only does 1-2 weddings at a time. I think you should go ahead and find someone you ike now (as long as you have the time) and then you can finalize things as your wedding draws closer.

i think a good florist does limit themselves and the number of weddings they will do per weekend. but i also think there are many good florist out there. i say book them the sooner the better, just to have it done. i got mine in july, about 10 months before the wedding.

I just booked my florist a few weeks ago (flower michele) and i was the 2nd wedding on 11/5/05! I would at least start getting ideas of who you would like to look at. Vendors seemed to get booked sooner than we would think!

it doesn't hurt to start looking whenever you have time. you might just fall in love with someone. and if you do, why wait to book them?
