For those having a farewell brunch...

How long are you making it?

We are doing it at our hotel and have the room from 10 to 2, I think the brunch only needs to be 2 hours- 10 to 12.. What did you guys do?

Definitely 2 hours. 4 hours is too long in my opinion.

Re: For those having a farewell brunch...

I even think two hours is too long. At ours, people sort of came when they wanted and left when they wanted.

It would def not be 4-- I was thinking 2 and FH thought that was too short.. Just proving my point..

Am, do you have wording you can share from your invites? Need inspiration please

We did not have invites for the brunch. It was word of mouth. Oheka has it for the guests who spend the night.

Re: For those having a farewell brunch...

Ours was also 2 hrs long. People came down when they felt like it and left when they felt like it. 2 hours is more then enough time. 4 hours is way too long.

Re: For those having a farewell brunch...

Ours has no set time. We decided to go with a small private room...guests will go to the restuarant ( right nest to the room) get their meals( its buffet style) and we will hang out in the private room. We have the room for as long as we want, we just have to pay for the breakfests...

Re: For those having a farewell brunch...

I just have the room for 4 hours- cause I could not get it for less time. There is no way I want to sit in a room for 4 hours with a never ending supply of breakfast pastries!

So, think a 10 or 10 30 start time- maybe even 11?? With our after-party, our wedding will end at 2:30am..

Also would like to reiterate- anyone who has wording to share- please do!

Ours was also word of mouth & lasted as long as everyone wanted to stay. I think it was 2 hours MAX!

Same for us...we're not doing invites (honestly, I don't think I could even stomach looking through another book of invites). Harrison House has it the next morning for those who stay overnight. We're probably just going to put it on our wedding website with the out of town guest information.

Re: For those having a farewell brunch...

Ours was on the website, and on the OOT info sheet we gave to all our hotel guests (in welcome bags). Also word of mouth... Guests could come down any time from 11:30 on, and it ended when everyone was through - I'd say about 1:00PM.
