MY 12-3-04 WEDDING REVIEW...GWM, 12TH NIGHT, MUSIC BY MICHAEL, LABLOSSOM AND MANY MORE...WITH PICS
I can not believe that I am posting me wedding review!!!! I had the most amazing day; I can truly say it was the best day of my life!! Everything went so well. I had the most amazing venders!!! I used a lot of vendors that have been highly recommended my Liweddings and I was not disappointed in the least. Every vendor was absolutely amazing and extremely professional. I just wanted to thank everyone on here for such wonderful advice. My wedding would have never been as nice if it weren’t for all the amazing suggestions and reviews.
Ok where to begin!!!
Consolidated Printing by Joan Greenlaw- A+++++++++++++++++++
Joan did my invitations, programs, menus, favor tags, shower invites for my mom, and place cards. I first went to her for my invites and she did such an amazing job I wouldn’t go to anyone else for anything. She was like a little wedding planner. She works out of her home and was so helpful!!!! The best thing about Joan was that she let me take home the invitation books to really take my time looking through them. IF anyone in the Floral Park area needs invitations or anything go to her. She was my favorite vendor!!!!!
Bridal Suite of Centereach – A+
I saw a picture online of my dress and I fell in love with it. Bridal Suite was the only place that carried it. It was a bit of a pain to drive out there from Garden City for all the fittings… but in the end it was worth it. They did an amazing job on my alterations and trust me I needed a lot!!!!
Bridal Reflections of Massapequa – A+
My bridesmaids got their dresses there. I found the staff to be helpful and there were no problems with the alterations. I looked around at many bridal stores for the best prices and I found the bridal reflections in Massapequa had the best price for the bill levkoff dress we chose.
Bonaventure Formal Wear- A+
Joe and the groomsmen got there tuxedos at Bonaventure in Garden City. They were very helpful and the tuxedos looked great. They gave Joe his tux for free and a discount for the best man.
Hair and makeup- A+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tarale did my hair and Jacqueline Nicole did my makeup. They both did the most amazing job!!! They both came to my house and set up in the kitchen. It was like I was hanging out with friends. They both have such a warm and friendly personality and they kept me so calm and relaxed. Getting ready was a part of the day I really enjoyed and I owe that to the both of them.
Limousine Please-A+
One of my best friends got married last September and used them and had no problems so I went with them as well. They were on time, the limos were clean and stocked and the drivers were friendly and helpful!!!! I called a lot of limo companies for quotes and Limousine Please was about $400 less then most of the places we called. We got a rolls and 2 ten passenger limos for $1100…and that included gratuity. They were great!!!!
LABlossom-A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
What can I say about Laurie that hasn’t already been said!!!! She did an amazing job!!! My flowers were incredible!!! She was great to work with start to finish. My centerpieces were great!!!!! My bouquet was out of this world!!!! Laurie even made amazing pew bows!!!! She was absolutely one of my favorite vendors and I would recommend her to anyone!!!! I got so many complements on my flowers!!!
Twelfth Night Photography- A+
I haven’t seen the proofs yet…but I have to say that I am soooo glad I went with 12th night. Dominic was great!!!! He has the best personality and he made taking all those pictures enjoyable. We also had Geraldine. She was great. She was so sweet and professional. I felt it was also nice to have a woman’s prospective on many things. I can’t wait to see the proofs. I will post them when I get them.
Music by Michael- A+++++++
Michael was amazing!!!! He had everyone up and dancing for most of the night. He played the best music. He played a great mix that got everyone up…young and old. He was professional and helped make our wedding wonderful!!!! The one thing I wanted was to have a fun wedding with everyone up and I owe that to Michael.
Audrey’s Bakery- A+
We ordered the chocolate fountain. It was great!!!! A big hit. So many people at the wedding never heard of the chocolate fountain and were amazed by it. They did a great job at setting everything up. The spread was amazing. The only thing is they didn’t seem to stay out that long….but that was my fault…I never asked how long they would leave it out for. Over all I’m glad I had it…. the bananas and chocolate were sooooo good!!!!!!
George Washington Manor – A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The GWM was amazing!!!!!! If anyone wants to have a Christmas wedding there is no other place for it!!!! Everything was so beautifully decorated…it was so warm and elegant!!!! The cocktail hour was great….so much food. The staff was so amazing!!!! They were on top of every ones needs. No one ever wanted for anything…they were always right there. Joe and I walked into the reception room to take a peek before anyone else came in the room and it took my breath away!!!!!!!! The room was amazing! The food was great and our maitre’de, Mario, was there at our sides through out the night. The GWM also made our cake. I loved my cake!!!!!! It was exactly what I wanted!!!! I couldn’t stop looking at it all night. All in all my wedding reception was out of this world!!!!!! I love the GWM and everyone that came to the wedding has had nothing but positive things to say.
Bayberry Inn, Newport R.I. – A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Since I’m a teacher we couldn’t go away on a full honeymoon right now so we went away for a long weekend to Newport. We stayed at the most charming bed and breakfast!!!!! If anyone is looking for a romantic get away…go to Newport. It was so nice…great restaurants, mansion tours were great…and everything was decorated for the holidays. It was a great mini-moon. We are going on a cruise in April over a school break.
I think that is it…I hope I didn’t forget anyone!!!!!

Everything looks wonderful! Your cake, your dress, the holiday decorations - it's just great!
I have one question - was your church decorated or did you ask your florist to decorate it? The Christmas trees on the altar look really great.

My church had the trees up but they weren't supposed to be lit. My husband plugged them in a few minutes before the ceremony started. We bought the pointsettias at Hicks Nursery and my neighbors brought them to the church and placed them on the steps. The church wasn't supposed to be decorated since its advent.

I have THE SAME Bill Levkoff BM Dresses in Euro Red...the SAME DJ, the SAME limo company (the owner Mike is a close friend of the family) the SAME hair stylist, the SAME makeup person!
