MOB dress vs BM dresses - I need dress color advice!!!!
Here's the thing:
My mom wants to wear a burgandy dress (the color really looks good on her).
However, I was also planning on having my girls wear a deep shade of red (wine maybe).
Do you think it'll be too weird if my mom and bridesmades have similar colored dresses?
(My mom will be wearing a suit type gown and bridesmaids are all young and will be in open dresses - nothing certain has been picked yet.)
Please say why you vote a certain way, and if you have pictures please post!

I think it's cool if your mother wears a color that coordinates with your BM's dresses, but I do think it would look a little weird if she wore pretty much the SAME color. It might look like she's the lost member of the bridal party--like the 5th Beatle, you know?  If you could change the dresses by a shade or two, I think it would be okay though--so long as the dresses aren't the same color. Hope this helps!

My mom wore black and so did my BM's. It looked great. It doesn't really matter. The MOB is really not standing next to your BM's that much anyway

Here is a casual picture of my Mom next to my SIL (BM) they are both wearing periwinkle.
I think it will look great. I like things that match.

Thanks for the pics girls!
I'll show these to my mom -- it looks perfectly fine to me, especially if the colors are slightly different shades. I'll tell my mom not to stress .
