Bah Humbug! Anyone else not in the Christmas spirit yet?
I'm usually a very "Christmas-y" person, but I'm just not feeling it this year. With 101 days to go until my wedding and a task list that seems daunting at times, I don't have time for Christmas. Christmas happens every year, I'm getting married ONCE.
I am in a good place with regard to my wedding timeline, so why can't I relax a little and enjoy the season? Is anyone else feeling this way?
Maybe I just need a little egg nog with some rum in it...

I know what you mean. The stress of having to buy christmas gifts as well as wedding expenses is a bit overwhelming.

I hear you! I'm getting married two weeks after Christmas - the only thing Christmas is for me this year is a pain in the neck since it'll ruin a weekend of running around for wedding stuff.
I feel like such a scrooge and I LOVE Christmas, but this year it's just in the way... New Years too! The last two weekends before the wedding are major holidays and all the shops are closed! BAH HUMBUGGGGG!

I hear ya! But for me it has more to do with the fact that there is a limited amount of gift shopping I can do this year. I know - it's not about the presents - but for me I love shopping for people and picking out just the right thing. So without that I am feeling lost. Plus my company doesn't decorate the lobby for Christmas. 
Maybe when we put up the tree next weekend I will feel better.

I am not a Xmas person either.
Plus other matters at work also making things VERY stressful
every time is see wreaths or hear xmas songs

And the music in the stores, doctors offices and the radio is getting to me already! I couldn't even care about the tree lighting tonight.
I say have some egg nog with rum just for the sheer hell of it, nothing to do with xmas.

I don't mean to sound like a bridezilla, but the only thing I seem to be able to concentrate on lately is the wedding. Plus the fact that trying to save money for the wedding and buying people xmas gifts is totally stressing me out!!

Thank God I am not the only one feeling like Christmas is just a pain this year,
Went to the mall yesterday, bought nothing but stuff for my wedding aGGHHH!!! I am not buying gifts for no adults only for the kids
no one cares that we have this huge expense,
Even my sister who I thought would be supportive is now having a cow because I am not doing nothing for the holidays!!!
so ..........
BAH HUMBUG
But I am decorating, I do love how the house looks during the holidays...

My invites are going out the week between Christmas and New Year's. My FMIL is still thinking about who she wants to invite to the wedding. I told everyone I wanted the list finalized by Thanksgiving. She has had since February to think about this!!!
The holidays are just in my way right now. Like a speed bump that I have to get past.

I was feeling this way......but for some reason, now I'm excited about Christmas!
Even though I don't have much to spend on presents, I bought my family and FH a bunch of smaller gifts, so it looks like they got more. I also went out and bought myself a stuffed Rudolph from Build-A-Bear with my friend and we had such a blast stuffing our own reindeer and giving him a heart! Then I did a little Christmas shopping with my mom.....came home, had a glass of egg nog with rum in it and just wrapped a couple presents while listening to Christmas music on 97.5 WALK FM.....
You have to set the MOOOOOOD......kinda like when you're planning a romantic night....you gotta create the atmosphere, ladies!
Don't worry....you'll catch the Christmas Spirit soon!

I go in and out. I wasn't at all into Christmas due to lack of Money, but I bought some stuff and felt a little better...THEN I got depressed over spending money..
STUPID CYCLE!
I LOVE christmas, but I cant wait for it to be over. I hope I can catch the "spirit" of it soon!

I'm in the spirit, but I'm not thrilled at all about buying presents. Everybody knows that FH and I are going to be very minimal with our presents this year, but I feel really bad about it. I know that our families understand that we can't spend much, but I really wish that we could.

The money thing is killing me!!! I love to buy everyone gifts.... But this year I don't know how I can get the kids little somethings.... Aaargh!!!!! I'm so behind with money and that makes everything else behind... So Christmas spirit is definately in the negative. Of course working retail I here Christmas music all day and have to spread holiday cheer that I don't have....  I think that this is a common illness...

Totally not feeling christmas this year.
Im always the cheesey one that loves to add all the little touches to make the holidays special, and cheer people up and get them into the spirit. Not this year. It my first christmas w/o my grandmother, and dealinig with it hasnt really been all that easy. It was her favorite holiday too- she loved buying us millions of gifts and seeing our expressions as we opened them... no matter how tight money was, there were presents stacked 4 feet high from wall to wall in her house. hearing all this christmas music just makes me think of her and how shes not with us.....
did someone mention Rum? im not an egg nog person, but i could go for some rum right about now
