My Wedding Review.. Pics on the way... (And it's my 3000th post!)
Well.. after moving into the new place and trying to get everything "normalized".. I can finally post my review of my Wedding and add some Wedding days pics and ones from the honeymoon as well.....
I got married on October 16th @ the Greentree country club in New Rochelle.
The limo we used was First Class Limo - B+
They were good. They showed up right when they said they would. (But I would have preferred them to be about 10 minutes earlier than they were. No biggie.)
(We got to the reception hall and there was an Indian Wedding going on with the groom riding in on a horse. Whatta entrance!)
We went right up to on of the bridal suites @ the Greentree and immediately the staff started taking great care of us.
I give the Greentree - A++++
They were great. We were supposed to have an outside wedding. It started to rain about a 1/2 hour before. In a flash, they had a room for us to be married in beautifully decorated.
The food was great. Their cocktail hour food was amazing according to my guests. I missed almost all of it due to taking pictures.
The main entrees were great and the Viennese table was awesome. They actually filled the canolis with cream right in front of you.
They also treated my Wedding party and my Mom with the greatest care. (She has not been well and they and my Dad took wonderful care to make sure she enjoyed the day. It meant the whole world to me that she was able to be there!)
For our ceremony music, we used the Capriccio Ensemble - A+++
Natalie and her fellow musicians played wonderfully according to my guests. They played "Stairway to Heaven".. "Wild Horses".. and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" before the ceremony. It's another thing I missed but my guests enjoyed. Hopefully it's on video.
For the vidoegrapher, we used Bliss Productions - A+++
To those of you who know Jerry, he's just great. Just a good guy and I KNOW the video is going to be great. Can't wait.
For the photographer, we used Gary Lilian Photography - A+++
Gary is another good guy who worked his a$$ off on the day of the Wedding. He treated us great.. he had a wonderful sense of humor.. he understood how we wanted to party.. and he was completely shadowing us after the formal pics without being intrusive.
When we arrived at the Greentree... after we were able to get around the horse... haha... we went upstairs for a quick toast.. then we went outside for my pics with family and wedding party. I did not see My Bride until she walked down the aisle.
It was sunny at this point but a bit chilly.
Gary Lilian the photographer put my Mom in his mini-van becuase he saw that she was getting chilly outside.
I went inside with my boys.. had another toast.. then the Bride arrived and my boys left to take pictures with her. Unfortunately, they didn't get far because it started raining pretty heavily. Luckily.. the bride was able to escape unwettened to Gary's mini van with my Mom and the MOH right there.
Our flowers were by House of Flowers - A.
They looked really nice.. my wife was VERY pleased. (Not my area of expertise.. LOL)
Our Officiant was Father Paul Mayer - A++++ Whatta wonderful priest! Jen and I loved this guy. He did a great ceremony.
After the Wedding, we took pics together (Bride and Groom.. with families and Wedding parties)... it was then time for the reception. (We got about 20 minutes to spend at the cocktail hour because we extended it to an hour and a half.)
Our DJ was DJ Jay from Futuristic DJ - A+++
They played everything we wanted. He did a few mixes we requested and was able to play a few requests on last minute notice.
I can't tell you where she got the dress or who did her make-up.. but she looked lovely.
Her hair was perfect too.
We started the ceremony at 5:30.. by midnght we were wrapping everything up.
We stayed at the Rye Town Hilton - A+++.
I gotta say that this hotel had a great suite for us.. a great bar downstairs to party at (which we did at 1:30am in the morning).. and saved our a$$es after another hotel gave away all of the rooms we had blocked off without even the courtesy of a phone call.
It was a wonderful day that I will never forget.
My Bride and I were very lucky that we worked with people we really genuinely liked. I think that's VERY important.

I always heard good things about Greentree and I'm glad to hear they didn't disappoint

It was a beautiful day.. one neither of us can ever forget. Thank you all for your kind words and compliments. In the pics, I think I look like an OK groom .. but she's looks like an absolutely beautiful bride.
