Our amazing wedding...11/7/04
Hey girls...here is the review of our wonderful wedding...
INVITATIONS: We got them at Invitations & Beyond in Oceanside. The people there were so nice to work with, and the invitations were beautiful.
RD: COLES HOUSE in Glen Cove was great...food was amazing, service was good, the room was so nicely decorated and the staff there was great. We worked with Linda and she made sure everything was prefect. Everyone had a great time.
Jenn from the HAIR GENIE: My hair looked GREAT...I was so happy...She is such a sweet person and so much fun to be around. She is so talented and everyone's hair that she did looked amazing...Even my mom who has never had an updo looked so beautiful.
Make-up by OKSANA: She made me look & feel like a princess. My makeup came out exactly how I pictured it and stayed on all night long. Oksana makes you feel totally relaxed and calm while she is applying your makeup. She did a great job.
FLOWERS: We used PEDESTALS for our flowers and are so happy with our decission. We had so many compliments on how amazing the CP and all the flowers looked. We changed around our CP's after the original sample and was amazed at what the flowers looked like the day of. My husband and I are very pleased with the service and final product we got. We dealt with Erin and she was such a pleasure to work with.
PICTURES: For pics we used Steve from PATKEN and were so happy. Not only did he take wonderful pictures but he was fun to be around and work with. We are so excited to see our proofs. Steve did an excellent job capturing tons of memories from our special day.
VIDEO: For video we used Kevin from PATKEN who was also a pleasure to work with. Kevin was such a nice guy. He made sure to get all the great shots at the wedding and still remained totally unobtrussive. We can't wait to see the final video.

LIMOS: We used ROYALTY for our escalde limo, CTS, and shuttle for the OOT guests. We were so pleased with their service, promptness, and how clean the cars were. Our drivers were Frankie & John and they were wonderful. They fluffed my dress & fixed my train before my father and I walked down the aisle. They helped me get in & out of the cars. They even explained were to stand, walk, etc...for pics & video. They were such a great help.
DRESS: I got my wedding gown at FLOWERAMA. They were excellent. My dress came in exactly on time. I scheduled timely fittings and my dress was so beautiful. The entire staff there was so nice and easy to work with.
BM DRESSES: We got the BM dresses at DAVID'S BRIDAL. They all wore the apple colored seperates. The dresses came in way before they were scheduled to and were perfect. My only issue with DAVID'S is that the staff there can be hard to work with. But my BM's looked amazing in their dresses.
FG DRESSES: Also from DAVID'S BRIDAL. We had 2 FG and when their mother's went to order the dress they had a bunch of sizes in stock and were able to get the dress immediately. They were very happy.
DJ: We used Vinny from HIGH VOLTAGE SOUNDS. He was great to work with through all the planning and a very nice guy. Our guests were dancing all night. My parent's got comments on the great variety of music. My dad even got up to dance which is a rare occurance...We all had a good time partying on the dance floor.
HOTEL for OOT guests: Our guests stayed at the HARRISON HOUSE at Glen Cove. We got a great rate and the rooms were awesome. Although the staff at the hotel can be unorganized and hard to work with, they let us block 50 rooms, kept the pub opened up longer on Sunday night so we could continue the celebration after the reception, and made sure all our guests knew where they were going for the reception. Overall we were pleased with the hotel.
FAVORS: Mini wine bottles from Bargain Liquors in Rockville Centre. Great deal!

Absolutely amazing...it was everything that we could have asked for and more. Our expectations were exceeded by far. Our Maitre D' was Paul. He was attentive to our needs and made sure everything was perfect. The food was GREAT...people were commenting on it all night. The room looked breathtaking when you walked in. I don't think words can describe how happy and pleased we were with everything about the Swan Club. Our guests even started to arrive early so they started to serve them all drinks as they came in and then decided to open the CH room early for us. It was great!
The bridal suite was nice, even though we only spent about 5 minutes in it. We wanted to spend all our time at the CH & reception. I can't thank Paul and then Swan Club enough for our perfect reception...!!!
ETA:
SANDALS, NEGRIL (for our HM)
We went on our HM the day after Christmas for a week. The resort was wonderful, we had great weather, and the service at Sandals was amazing. We got an upgrade on our room without even asking. There was so much to do on and off the resort. Jamaica was definately a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back!

I really hope I am not forgetting anyone. We aren't going on our HM until the day after Christmas so I will have to wait to write a review about that...
Here are some pics I have so far...once we get our proofs I am going to try and scan them as well...

Congratualtions...you looked beautiful. Sorry you felt the hotel staff at the Harrison House was unorganized. Someone else has posted that before also. I'm glad I haven't had this problem...lots of rooms blocked, and a lot of them already booked without any problems. Hope it stays that way!
