Team America - We saw it tonight

Ok, so DH and I saw Team America tonight. Half of the movie is side splitting hilarious, and the other half is REALLY STUPID (just plain sophomoric humor).

Things I loved:
The Action scenes - because Puppets look silly trying to do martial arts.
The Parody of RENT
The Country "Freedom isn't Free" Song - Dude, DEAD on parody of "Have You Forgotten"
The Team America Theme Song
The Song that played during the puppet porn scene
The Song Kim Jong Il sang
The Song about how much Pearl Harbor Sucked
The Song about needing a montage.

Things I thought were boring:
The Puppet Porn scene after about 10 seconds. Enough. I got the point.
The D***s and P*ssies and @ssholes thing.
The ENTIRE Climax Scene of the movie.

All in all, the movie smacks both sides upside the head, but I was surprised to see them come down SO hard on the Left. Then again, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have had it in for a lot of Hollywood's Elite for a long time. I think someone in their family was murdered by a Baldwin or something. The first half of the movie is REALLY REALLY funny, I'll admit it. But once the novelty of swearing puppets wears off, the movie gets really boring. The true star of this movie is the music - Trey Parker knows how to write a funny song. I am considering getting the soundtrack. If you are a democrat, you will laugh at this movie. If you are a republican, you will laugh at this movie. If you are undecided, you will pee in your pants laughing at this movie.

Go see a Matinee - not worth full price.

I saw it last night... it was interesting... VERY shocking (my jaw must have dropped at least 5 times because I was so suprised with what they came out with!)... funny, but not as funny as we were expecting... worth seeing though!
