Question for brides who had a Saturday daytime wedding at a church
When did you take your pictures? If the ceremony starts at 11 and the CH at 1 do you have to miss the CH?

Our ceremony started at 11, cocktail hour at 1:30. We took pics directly after the ceremony (we had a full mass, no receiving line) and missed just 10 minutes of the cocktail hour.
I guess it depends where you go for your pics, how far away the church is from the reception, etc.
The pics themselves took about an hour, maybe less.

We have the same timeline (11am church, 1pm cocktail hour), plus the reception hall is 30 minutes from the church! Sadly, I think we are definitely going to miss most of our cocktail hour.

We moved our ceremony to 10am which gave us plenty of time to go and take pics. MAybe you can change the time??

My planned timeline:
mass @ 11am -11:45, no receiving line
30 min drive to reception hall
1 hr of pictures
CH @ 1, we'd join it at 1:15
Actual timeline (thanks to my HORRIBLE limo driver who got lost picking up my husband, dropped the guys at the church, got me, then got lost going to the reception when I knew the directions and he wouldn't listen to us!):
mass @ 11:30 - 12:15
arrive at hall after 1, take less than an hour of pictures - missed the CH, then had to leave reception to take more pictures!! This is the biggest regret I have about my wedding!
