if you have never gone to an Irish Day in Long Beach, you should come. down here. It is so much fun! Its like St. Patricks Day in the fall. Besides the bars having bands, Irish music, DJ's and food, they have stands to shop. On nice days its packed!! It starts at 12 pm and goes on until wee hours of the am. I might be bartending so if you come done I;ll whip up a special LIW drink for you.

single ladies might want to come down- there are a ton of guys that are here that day! people from every town come down here to have fun and party. you just have to get here early before they get a little tipsy.

Re: Long Beach Irish Day, October 2, 2004....

OMG, the last time I did this I threw up out the car window bc I was so drunk and it flew back in the car window and hit my DH in the face. It was about our 4th date. I knew when he called me the next day and forgave me that we'd tie the knot. Hi, how romantic is that? I definitely have to go back, this time I'll drink less! Sorry -- way TMI!

I've spent many nights at the Inn. Used to love seeing the Blue Scoobies play there. That was back in 1997 and 1998 - hubby (then boyfriend) lived on Indiana Ave.

I've been the the Irish Day several times. Gotta get me some Sweet Potato fries!!

I love LB Irish day. I met my husband 5 years ago down in Lb when we both had summer houses. Unfortunatly we can't go this year because of my mom's surprise b-day party.
My hubby and I just started house hunting on the West End of Lb. Anybody know of any good houses for sale in Lb? Thanks.

Hmmmmm... ive never heard of this. But if its as good as you say it is... i'll probably check it out.

If your working an evening shift... then i'll bring FW and take off DJing that night. If its a day shift... ill just bring some friends... get slammed... then go DJ.

DJPILL- it is a great time.. especially if the weather is good. they block off the whole west end- Beech St. they have tons of food, street vendors, bands at all the bars, outdoor festivities. it is a lot of fun....I'll fin dout my shift and let you know...

If I work the day, Illwork and party afterwards... If I work at night Ill be doing the same as you drink, hang and have fun and then go to work!!!

It does get very crowded and parking can become a little scary.... the bars do get crowded but people just crawl from bar to bar.....

Re: Long Beach Irish Day, October 2, 2004....- they just called me to work!

One question. How tough is the ID checking there?

I think I lost my new drivers licence (just got it last month) when I went to Mirage last week. So now I am using my old (exipred) licence.

Its only expired since Aug 10th of this year. Will that be a major issue. I am 30yrs old so its not like i'm a kid.

I'll probably just order a new licence online and print the reciept for it and bring it with me just in case.

i would renew my license online and print out a copy just in case. I wouldnt want you to drive all the way down to LB and then have a problem! They are not too strict that day since its crowded!
