Re: Favorite Broadway Show...
That's a tough one for me. I would have to say that my favorite B'way shows are Phantom, Rent, and Les Mis.
I LOVE the music from Phantom. Rent is one of my favorites b/c it's so fast paced and original, and I also love the music. I love the story in Les Mis and of course, the music.
The music really seems to determine what makes a show my favorite. Aida was also amazing - great music, terrific sets, etc....

Re: Favorite Broadway Show...
I loved Man of La Mancha. It was truly an excellent story with a great cast, and the music was excellent as well. FH and I lucked out seeing it too- we picked up tickets from the TKTS booth and it happened to be the closing night!
I saw Fiddler on the Roof in July. That also had a great cast, compelling story and excellent music.
Thoroughly Modern Millie was also excellent- the actress who played Millie (Sutton Foster) was amazing- she was really funny and just amazing.

Re: Favorite Broadway Show...
My all time is Miss Saigon. Saw it twice and must know every word to the songs.
Hated "cats". How ironic because I volunteer in acat shelter and rescue strays. But, I thought it was horrible.

Re: Favorite Broadway Show...
My favorite of all time is Les Mis....Rent and Miss Saigon a close second...but I just saw "The Producers" a few weeks ago while they were touring in DC and it was fabulous. Alan Ruck played one of the leads..he was "Cameron" in Ferris Buellers Day off. Pretty funny b/c he played the same role Matthew Broderick plays on Broadway. I would highly recommend it to anyone!!! you'll love it..

Re: Favorite Broadway Show...
RENT is my all time favorite.. saw it Three times (twice in the US, and once when i was in Europe).
then Phantom!!! I had the CDs, and they were great, but seriously, in person, the orchestra was so amazing that i was in tears at parts of the show that didnt typically call for tears
i loved Beauty and the best, the king and I, Scarlet Pimpernell (so funny), and i can barely remember the Fiddler on the Roof (it was the first B-dway show i ever went to (i was 9)), but i still remember the excitement i felt when i saw it.
Now, some of you may think i'm nuts, and i dont know why, but i just couldnt get 'into' Aida. For some reason, i just wasn't feeling it, so FH and I left during intermission

Re: Favorite Broadway Show...
I just saw "thep producers" on Friday (part of birthday present). It was really funny. The guy playing Max Bialystock was very similar to Nathan Lane so it was like he was there. I LOVE Phantom. The music and effects give me chills. I really liked Miss Saigon too. And of course Les Mis. But Phantoms my favorite. (so far, still want to see Wicked)
