e-party guest list question
Hi - my parents are throwing us an e-party for about 60 people - how many people do you think my FH should invite of his friends? Keep in mind his parents are throwing one for us as well.
I had always assumed my friends go to mine, and his friends go to his....am I wrong.

Re: e-party guest list question
I think an e-party is the first time youre supposed to blend your families together.
If your parents and his live close by, everyone should be going to one big party to meet each other.
If there is a distance issue, then ignore me

Re: e-party guest list question
I stand and correct myself....my trusty old everything wedding etiquette book says that your parents get first dibs...then his parents can host one.
I would still want to have everyone together though

His family lives in OH, mine in NY - first my parents are throwing one, than his - but do you think FH should invite friends to mine?

Is his parents party in Ohio? Where do his friends live. If they live in NY i would invite them to your familys party out of convenience

Re: e-party guest list question
My e-party was mine and his family and the only friends that were invited were the ones in the wedding party, which basically included all close friends, about 22 of them. All together we had 100 people.

Re: e-party guest list question
does he have any friends in NY/ I would invite those friends to the one your parents are hosting, and save the others for the Ohio one. I think it is a lot to ask people to fly in from Ohio for an e-party(not sure if you are doing this)
