How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
I post a lot more than I did when I was planning. And now I post for fun, where as when I was planning I posted because I needed to know something.
I think it's more fun now (and takes up more of my time at work ) and I feel like I know everyone a lot better.
What does everyone think??

I'd have to agree, it's more about fun now. And I do think I am more addicted now than during planning ...

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
I have been married awhile now and am still around. But I have to say I didn't post as much when I was getting married more after marriage. I think I was definitely more guarded in my planning stages - more about message boards and talking to strangers on the internet. I think once I felt more at home and met a lot of girls on here (not many are still here anymore though) I felt more comfortable with chatting about all types of things. Although I do have to sey I am still guarded - I just won't chat about family or DH personal issues or things like that b/c you never know who is reading.

Yes I don't ask "show me your centerpieces/hairstyles" type-questions anymore on BHB. I post on BHB but not as much.

It is more interesting on the newlywed side vs. talking about flowers and favors. Most of the people here when I was planning are gone now but there are still a few left!

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
I was an addict pre-wedding, and I'm an addict post-wedding..
Though the degrees of addiction are slightly different. At first I would only post or read thread on BHB, because I had a short engagement, needed tons of help since I knew nothing about LI .. and I desparately needed advice and support.
I also used to be on LIWs late at night from home than I ever was at work .. now its the complete opposite. (I hardly ever go on at home)
But once I had all the major wedding stuff booked, I found that BHB would BUG me (LOL) so I came onto NWR and was MUCH happier It took my mind off wedding planning and was a lot of fun. Besides, there were days I was faaaar too stressed to talk or read about wedding plannning, and I actually thing going onto BHB made me MORE anxious when I saw there girls who had things planned and booked years in advance!
Now its the complete reverse. I like nearly all the forums. I go onto BHB to try to offer any humble advice I might have, not to mention check up on the ladies I formed friendships with that are still planning. Over here on NWR, well its just a good way to pass the boring workday and laugh with "friends and foes "
I DO feel as though I've gotten much "closeer" to some of you these past months especially, despite the fact I dont actually KNOW any of ya!

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
when boosh first started coming on here, i thought that the site was pretty lame and that it was JUST about weddings -- i wanted no part in it.
Then, she would come home and tell me who said this, or who is doing this, so as a goof, I figured let's check it out.
I checked out the NWR board and saw that it had pretty cool topics and at the time, I wanted to give my perspective from a male POV.
I know have over 2000 posts. I truly enjoy posting and talking to you folks (even the Yankee fans). We talk about threads at home. I hope that between me (Mr. Classless Version 2.0), OctGroom (Mr. Classless Version 1.0), DJPill (the Anti-Christ), mahiahsdad, Scott and our newest frat member DMAG, that we add some levity and male insight to the boards.
Who would've thunk it -- MEN posting on a wedding board

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
I post a lot more now, but that's mainly b/c I have an internship with a lot of free time! I find that b/c I"m on NWR more, I'm learning a lot more about the rest of you. I finally had time for my first GTG, which was awesome!

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
Back in the olden days of planning my wedding (1998-1999), I used this site as more of a resource. Everyone from back in the day is long gone. Then a new batch of brides came on, more defined areas of chat became available and you weren't just restricted to planning conversations only. Of course most of the 02'ers have moved on to a land far, far away but I'm still here. Heck, it's comfortable, it's free and it's an awesome distraction during a slow day of work. Plus the newer crowd on here seems to be a genuine group of people.

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
I always posted a lot on these boards...but Since Danielle and I have come back from the honeymoon and we are more relaxed, I find that I post more...and I dont have to post to find out things for the wedding. It is nice to have that over with...All the stress was insane but fun at the same time. I am happy that Danielle and I went through with a big wedding and I am really impressed that we planned it ourselves, but I do not ever want to go through it again. I plan on hanging around these boards now even after Danielle and I are married, because I think I have found some really genuine people here and I also really like posting here. Scott

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
Ive been married almost 5 years. When I was planning, it was bridal expos and bridal magazines..oh, and TLC;s Wedding Story to get ideas. I had no idea this site existed till this past spring when I was on I think li.com and they had a link to here. I have 4 weddings coming up (in 2) so its fun to see what people are doing and how the different catering halls are (review board). I also like to try and "help out" if I can.

Re: How has your LIW experience changed since you've been married? (if you're married)
I care a lot more about the NWR board than I did before. Plus I feel closer to people than I did during wedding planning (except for my date sister)
