Invitation Ordering Question
What are the benefits of ordering invitations from a private service vs. on-line? I would appreciate any input. Thanks

Re: Invitation Ordering Question
if you know someone in the business you could possibly get a bigger discount. Also, personalized attention to detail.

Re: Invitation Ordering Question
I've ordered my invitation on line and it was great. They came from Canada and was not as expensive in the states. Even though the order was processed on line they did not start the production of it b/c they had a couple of questions for me. I received a call from a very nice lady who went over my order with me. I highly recommend them to any one.

Re: Invitation Ordering Question
I found mine on line, went to see Rebecca at Favorite things just to see all the enclosures and stuff.
When I got to her house, she had the book open to my invite. She spent almost 2 hours with me talking about wording, font size, actual font, colors, everything.
The invites on line were about 5% cheaper, but for the service I got, I had to order from her.
When I got my invites, she already stuffed one for me so I'd know how to do it. Plus she offers additional discounts on future purchases - showers/birth announcements.
I guess if you want a plain card with black writing or really know what you want and how it will look, online is for you. It was worth a lot more then the 5% extra to get all that service for me in my case.
If you find what you want online, post it on the vendor board w/ the discount, maybe someone can match the price, plus you'll get the personalized service.
ETA: Always try to get a proof though, to check spelling and times.

Re: Invitation Ordering Question
I use to be in this business and there are a few things.
Personalized - able to feel the quality of paper. Online - not able to
Personalized - undivided attention and help with any immediate questions Online - no attention unless you call them and if you have questions you might have to wait for a call back.
Personalized - depending on where you go discounts vary but you can work with the vendor on this. Online - set discounts from 20- 30 %
One thing i will tell you there are few major manufacturers. and as you might be aware their products appear in the catalogs. Birchcraft, regency, carlson craft to name a few. If you have any questions I will be more then happy to help you NOT sell you. FM any questions.
