Booking Land's End-Day or night?
I am booking Land's End for Memorial Day weeknd 2005 and am still a bit unsure as to if I want a night or day wedding. Can any other Land's End brides (or people that have been there) help me? Was it a day or night wedding and why?

We went to a night wedding to see our band play. To be honest, I felt the natural beauty of the outside was lost with a night wedding--it looked like it had gorgeous grounds, but you couldn't see any of them. It was also raining which didn't help.

Agreed. How about around sunset? Check out the sunset times. Sunset pics there will be great. Or you can get sunset pictures after the wedding anyway. My vote is for the day.

I went to an afternoon wedding there a few years ago, and it was beautiful!! The cocktail hour was outside, and it was soooo nice to sit by the water and listen to the reggae band play!! I felt like I was on vacation!!
I am sure it would be beautiful at night as well....(I love water at nite, when you see the lights in the distance), but I think either day or sunset would be better for this place.

i am going to a wedding this year labor day weekend. it is during the day BECAUSE the couple felt as though alot of the beauty of the grounds would be lost at night

well it also depends..... if you have the money for a night wedding then why not....
it is georgous when the lights are on during the night
i chose the night because i wanted a more formal wedding and i think the place is absolutely beautiful anytime of day!
besides i LOVE night wedidngs

I'm not getting married at Land's End, but I;m getting married at The Crescent Beach Club, which has the same outdoor type of feel. We're having a Saturday night sunset ceremony and the CH will be indoor/outdoor at dusk.

My cousin had her reception at Land's End last June. She had a evening wedding, and it was beautiful. As you sat at the cocktail hour you watched the ferries come in to the dock, and her pictures were amazing. She had Verdi. I would recommend a night wedding there.People seem to have more fun at night weddings. Make sure your photographer takes a picture of you and your bridal party of the balcony in the bridal sweet. It comes out great!!!
