Just Saw My First True Love
I was coming back to my office from lunch when my first true love walked right past me. I could not believe that it was him. I did not have the guts to talk to him because I did not think I looked good enough for me to talk to him. I was that way when we were younger too. I had not seen him in 6 years. We never dated but were just friends but I always had the hots for him. I love my FI and I am so happy to be his wife but Danny will always have a special place in my heart.
Do you guys feel the same way or am I just crazy?

im going to my first true loves wedding in 2 weeks! we remained friends. he'll always have a place in my heart. im happy he found someone so wonderful too! but it will be weird seeing him get married! im sure it was weird for him too.

A friend of mine rents his basement apartment to my 1st love. I saw him a few years ago at the St. Patrick's Day parade but at the time my friend didn't know I knew this guy, and so I made myself scarce while he was talking to my friend. I don't know why - he's no prize lemme tell ya - but he always made my heart skip a beat. If I saw him today I don't even know how I'd react. Weird right?!?

its weird, but i do feel the same way. he has a website, so i occasionally 'check' on him to see how he is doing. i guess some people stay with us, no matter how long you've been apart or how much love we have in our lives.

Right before FI proposed, my 1st love must have found my AIM name and we were talking for a few weeks online... after a while we got into a fight about something and I remembered why I stopped loving him and why we arent together. Gotta love closure!

I have one of those. He is still a friend of mine- but we are not as close. He lives in London (always has lived somewhere in the UK) and as we got older, and especially since I have been with FH keeping in touch has been harder and less of a priority.
I always thought I would marry him, then a few years ago (after I met FH) I realized- we make good friends, but if we got together, we would kill each other- too similar in all the wrong ways.

Yep this is the year of 1st true loves getting married. Mine is getting married in October. Its funny when I announced I was getting married he said he and his GF were too.
He made up this story of them buying a second house nad how well he was doing..mind you we spoke a few months back and he had gotten fired so I know the house story was BS.
I knew something was up when he said he had waited for me for years and I never came so he was moving on..so sorry his FW didnt hear that part..would you want someone who is marrying you just because choice #1 didnt come knocking?

I recently talked to someone I went out with for a very long time, was DEEPLY in love with, was friends with for years before we got together, and he broke my heart.
We email each other twice a year or so but never mention significant others. He IMed me to tell me that he heard there was something special and exciting going on in my life and that he was so happy for me. (a professor we are both still in touch with told him I was engaged). So we got to talking and I asked him where he was living and he told me in Rochester with his GIRLFRIEND! If he didnt know that I was serious with someone, he would have just said "Rochester". He is not the type to just go and move in with someone if its not really serious so I was stunned although I didnt let him know that!
Sorry to ramble for so long but yeah - its the year for old loves getting married/serious too.
