Macy's discontinued much of my registry!!
I just checked my Macy's registry, and lots of the stuff is discontinued! I am so upset, we finally agreed on glasses and now we aren't getting them.

depends....alot of my stuff was discontinued, but they have the ability to search the other stores for your items and tell whomever is buying it where they can ship it from once it's bought!! I know first hand....my dishes were a test pattern and no one told me, so my dishes (and not even the whole set) came from all over the country!!!! The registry people just have to work for it....and have whomever spread the word amongst female guests for your shower.
Also, DO NOT talk to the Macy's people in the home/cookware depts...they know nothing of registries...have your family and friends GO TO THE REGISTRY DESK, you know...where you sign up and plead that your items are discontinued but you want to "find" them.
OH IT CAN BE DONE!!!

This happened to mee too!! more than half of my stuff has been discontinued!! But, if your guests can find it, its at a deep clearance so they will score a big sale! But, I had to pick out a lot of new stuff, so went with my other registries, because every time I scanned somethng at Macys I liked, it said it was being discontinued...it was sooo aggravating that I just gave up!

How do you know if you stuff was discontinued?
If you go online and check your registry it says something like "Item Unavailable--discontinued."
