How much is childcare?
Out of someone's home or if someone was to come to my own home.
Just curious - not looking now!

I think it varies. I Know someone who watches kids out of her home and she charges $50/day

I have someone come to my home and I pay $75 a day - I think the norm. is $50 - $100 a day

so roughly $1000/month for someone to watch the child in your own home? And what does day care cost (out of the home?) I am not TTCing yet but these are things to keep in mind.....
sad state of affairs when hardly anyone can be a SAHM anymore

Not sure for full time, but my son went to daycare 3 full days a week, and it was $620/month. That was at a Kiddie Academy

I called Kiddie Academy in St. James and was told about $924 for the month/full time/newborn.

I was told about $10-$12 per hour for a sitter to come to your home.

Thanks 
one more question - how do you find a sitter you can trust? are there backgrounds checks or references? we moved to central NJ and the only relatives that i have nearby work FT. If i have to work when i have a baby, i don't know what i will do!
